University of Central Florida Top Questions

UCF has alot to offer, even more so since I was a student there. The University has grown rapidly and is one of the biggest in the country, but that doesn't mean you can't get the small class one-on-one attention you can from smaller universities. I personally took several classes at 3 different UCF campuses located in Cocoa, Palm Bay, and Downtown Orlando. The area campuses have much smaller classes and I liked the opportunity to get to know my professor and have he or she know me. UCF also has everything the large campuses have.

The best thing about my school is what it provides to its students. There are so many resources and fun activities that students can utilize throughout their undergraduate and graduate years at the university.

I enjoy the various activities and associations available for University of Central Florida students to join at any time. They offer something for just about every background and/or interest, and do not show preference to one group or another. Everyone is welcome to become apart of any organization, even if it is aimed to attract those of one particular group. The best part, personally, is that many clubs have some sort of charity or volunteer work involved, which is very important to me when considering becoming a member.

The best thing at UCF is the Gym. The gym has two basketball courts, volleyball court, table tennis, four handball or racket ball courts, top of the line free weights and machine weights. On the second level they have a track that people can run on. Also, they have group exercise programs. They have a huge rock climbing wall. The gym is very clean and neat. The also offer personal trainers and free deitetion. Students get to use the gym for free with an id.

I think the level of involvement is one of the best things about the University of Central Florida. A lot of students are involved in school activities or off campus activities that promote making a difference both in the lives of the students and the lives of other people. Students here are also friendly and if you find the right group, you will always have something to do and you will really enjoy your college experience. The entire campus environment is one of the best aspects. It can make being away from your hometown still feel like home.

Community is the best attribute about UCF. Everywhere you go there is always someone ready to help you. When I was lost on campus the first week of school, I had a few people ask me if I needed help finding my way around. Also, the residence halls are a great way to meet new people because someone is always willing to hold the elevator or open the front door if someone sees you carrying a lot of items.

Have the oppotunity to get internships to have a job when we graduate

The teachers. They are amazing and very helpful. They are always available to talk with you or assist you in any issues tht you have. However, they have too see potential in you, they want you to succeed and they make you want to succeed.

I love the diversity and opportunity UCF has to offer. Because it's so large and in a metropolitan area, there are so many unique people to meet and so many awesome activities to get involved in. We have over 400 student organizations, tons of IM sports, and state of the art facilities (both classrooms and recreational). To be honest, most of the time, there's too much to do here at UCF in Orlando. It truly is an amazing place to grow and learn about who you are and who you want to be in the world.

I like that my faculty campus is not on the main campus. It helps students stay more focused on their goals and everyone there is going for a hospitlity related degree. There is a feeling to help each other.

The best thing about my school was that classes were perfect size for me. Students knew their priorities and carried themselves in a professional manner.

It's constantly growing, and continually advancing. It's one of the newer schools, the campus is engaging. The education also rocks! It's definitely a challenge here.

The best thing about UCF is the layout of the campus, with the student center in the (you guessed it) center. There is always an area nearby to do what I call the "stop and drop" - a surface area to get organized, spend some time on the laptop (and plenty of outlets if your pc or mac is running out of juice), a quiet corner to do homework, a soft chair to curl up and read a book, and there is even a nice reflection pond with a fountain and lawn area where you can enjoy the warm Florida sunshine.

The best thing about my school is the access to technology and tutoring. I feel like nobody would have a reason to fail any classes because tutors are offered in just about any field. Also, the technology makes it a lot easier to learn. For example, I always have a computer I can use available on campus and I am able to sign up for online classes.

The best thing about my school is that it is becomming one of the largest schools in the nation. This means more students from all over are comming and the school keeps expanding each year. The technology and the academic environment are all fantastic.

For older students like myself the flexibility that UCF provides is essential in me being able to continue my studies. Not only can I take classes at night but I can take classes at regional campuses and not have to drive an hour and a half to school one way. From the professors to the nurses at health services everyone has shown a great caring attitude toward students who want to strive to be their best.

I found that the best things about UCF so far are all the resources available to the student for studying (between the tutors, the TA's, the library, and the office hours).

Opportunity. UCF is considered the young kid on the block with regards to major colleges in Florida. However, what seperated my school from the other major schools is the opportunitys which come from attending UCF. Next semester I'll be interning in Tallahassee an opportunity I received through UCF, an opportunity only offered at UCF. Not everyone is built to succedd but while attending my university I know I was given the opportunity to do so.

There are many places and opportunities for students to receive help if they need it. Everything is easily accessible for everyone and the shuttles are very convenient.

There are a plethora of outstanding aspects about the University of Central Florida. Out of all these aspects, I consider the wide range of activities to be the best aspect of my school. Since I love experiencing new activities, I found the diverse and many campus clubs at UCF to be suitable to my interests. Currently, there is a recreation and wellness center that I have attended everyday since its rennovation about a week ago. Thus, I am able balance my academic life with exhilarating activities.

The best thing about our school is our pride. I think people forget that college is more than just books and studying, we have to enjoy these four years. When I walk into a football or a basketball game the room is filled with excitement and energy. It really makes me proud to call myself a Knight.

If I to describe the University of Central Florida in one word I would describe it has "opportunity". There are endless amounts of opportunity here at UCF, I believe UCF does a wonderful job allowing students to make the most of their education by allowing students to choose and excel in whatever they want. The best thing about my school is that there is so much to do and always someone new to meet. I feel that I have an endless amount of possiblities. I can join clubs, sports, fraternities/soroities, have a safe place to hang out with friends and many opportunities for jobs. The surrounding area is well built up and easily accessible with public transportation.

Ithink that the best thing about the University of Central Florda is the campus. Everything you need to be successful is at your fingetips. I love how easy it is to find your way from place to place and the amount of resources availible. There is always something going on during the week and that makes going to school much more exciting. The campus life is very active. There are plenty of student organizations to get involved. There should be at least one organization that you will feel a sense of belonging, if you join. If there is not an organization that you do not think you belong to, you can always start your own. Also, we have a lot of resources provided by the school in order for us to succeed.

That there is a place for everyone to belong. There are so many activities to join that no matter what you like to do, you can find 20 other people that like to do it too. I came from out of state and it was very easy to make friends. Being a big school was not intimidating nor does it feel as big as it really is.

I think one of the best things about the University of Central Florida is the opportunity that it provides to the students willing to do the work that it requires to earn their degree. This University has so much opportunity for involvment and helps each student to build on their character. I have seen students come in as Freshman children, and graduate into responsible, charasmatic, and compassionate adults. I am proud to be a Knight and finally finishing a degree I started back in 1988. UCF has made it possible and extremely rewarding at the same time.

The best thing about my school is the amount of opportunity available to all types of students. Although there are over 50,000 students I believe there is something available for everyone to be able to find their own niche and sense of belonging. I actually finding myself having to say no to some opportunities because countless opportunities are thrust in my path, instead of me having to go out of my way to seek them. I have been able to find the perfect balance of on campus involvement and applicable work experience to really get a well rounded experience.

The best thing about the University of Central Florida is that it is it's own community. UCF is nothing like Orlando and the surrounding area. It's great to be able to be on campus and not even realize that you are still in Orlando. This makes the campus more personable and better to be around. I feel like we are a family or community cut off from the rest of the city.

I was always told that at UCF you could get lost in the crowd, but this is only half true. I am so thankful that on those days where I want to blend in and just be incognito for a while I can. However, whenever I want to be recognized, I am someone. At this school it really depends what you want to do; if you want to flourish, you can believe that UCF will help you in any way.

The best thing about my school is the fact that the art department, in particular, is very passionate about the students that they consider into the major and don't tolerate any behavior that doesn't bring out the best in a student. All the staff on campus are very knowledgable about the areas that they teach, provide confidence to the students, and ways to further their career as an artist.

When I was in high school I thought I was pretty hopeless because I didn't do well and didn't grasp things as easily as other students. Attending the University of Central Florida showed me that I wasn't as hopeless as I thought I was. Everyone treated me like I was somebody and that I could and can do anything I set out to do. My school gave me hope that everything will end up right in the end if I put in the work and believe in myself.

The best thing about the University of Central Florida is the sense of community. Ranked as one of the largest schools in the United States, I am one among over fifty thousand. One would think that I would feel like just another number, just another student lost in the crowd, but I do not. Before i attended UCF i was at a smaller college with barely any clubs or involvement with the campus life. Personally I believe the best thing about UCF is the numerous opportunities to get involved and make friends with different people. There are many clubs to choose from on campus and also in the student union there is always something fun going on. Getting involved with what clubs are out there on campus is one of the top things to having a successful college experience.

It's big enough that the classes are not over packed (most of the time, for non-gen ed's), but not so small that you have to interact ALL the time with the teachers during the lecture. It's a good balance I think.

Walk into any Walmart in Florida, the sight of burly mustached men wearing Florida Gators shirt with matching socks is common. Trying to find the same sense of team spirit for UCF outside of Orlando is rare. With a campus of over fifty-thousand students it would be easy to get fade into another cheesy campus brochure for potential attendees. But at UCF there is always something to do, music playing, or impressive professors giving a lecture. UCF doesn't manufacture tshirts and paraphanalia in bulk but manufactures young people ready to tackle the world. Thats whats best about UCF.
