Is the stereotype of students at University of Connecticut accurate?

The weather is for the most part pretty bad at UConn but the students are from a great range of the surrounding states. The rich kid status does not really play into most UConn students. UConn is definitely still considered a party school but it has cut down on partying greatly in the last few years to focus on academics.

Students don't drink any more than other schools, there is plenty to do on campus, although if you want to go anywhere else you need a car.

Yes. Almost everyone is very preppy/trendy. The only thing there is to do around Storrs is drink, so it happens a lot. Everything seems to revolve around UConn sports teams.

Well, it's kind of hard to avoid them, we are not a private university so that is a yes, but at the same time we have only three bars off campus. At least with in walking distance, so it leaves for a lot of house parties. There isn't a whole lot to do out here, during warm weather there's come good mountain biking trails near by, and that's about it. So chose as you will
