That we are absolute stuck-up jerks about our sports teams. People who aren't avid fans seem to hate us and root against us for some reason.

We are stereotyped as only caring about sports and partying and not our acedemics.

Many people think that UF students are a lot smarter than students at any other state school around Florida. They also think that many graduates of the International Baccalaureate got into UF just because they graduated from IB.

We are better at everything! Athletes get easy grades. We have a lot of school spirit. Everyone drinks.

There are so many stereotypes at UF. There are the nerds who are so smart. They do not look like a jock or anything like that so people look down on them. They think they are asocial and dont know how to communicate. I stereotype sororities a lot. All they want to do is drink and have sex with guys. People stereotype me when I tell them I am a recovering bulimic. They think I am very superficial and just looking for attention but that is not true at all.

We are Gator fanatics, smart and part of a top school, sometimes people think we think we are better than the other schools, especially other Florida schools.

Some stereotypes? That we are loud and ugly, and drunk all the time. Some of our rival schools (read FSU) accuse us of being unfashionable. Others (read UGA) accuse us of being stupid.

I have heard the jean shorts comment more than I can bare, and it really is not true. It's just annoying. Also, that we have recently become the "nerdy" school in Florida which I can see happening.

I've heard people from FSU and UGA say we all wear JORTS... Also, I hear that the girls are ugly and that we have a lot of Asian's (because they are really smart).

That we are all "nerds", everyone walks around in "jorts" or gator crocs, everyone is a genious, we dont know how to have fun, the dorms are nasty, it smells like a swamp, etc.

I am a pre-professional student, so as far as stereotypes for pre-med, phar, dental, vet students I feel that the stereotype is that they are extremely conpetitive, to the point of not wanting to help peers when they have questions in subjecs like organic chemistry, biology, and physics.

All I've heard is positive stereotypes. For example, we are known as a football school, which is true. Everyone at UF loves the football program as well as the rest of the sports. But football is by far the biggest deal. Tickets are always sold out and for rivalry games tickets can get expensive. As far as the student body, the only people that hate are prom rivalry schools. Sometimes they'll call UF students stuck up or what not. Also, another stereotype is that we are a big party school.

I've heard some stero types that we are nerdy, and have ugly girls. That we don't party as hard as FSU.
