The only thing that a student needs to have in order to succeed at the University of Florida would be motivation, drive and a passion for life. I would say the type of person that should attend this school iw one that enjoys colaborating with fellow students. The program im in we spend alot of time with our classmates, which turns into great friendships with people that enjoy what you enjoy. This is the university for people that like to distance them selves away from school. This campus becomes apart of you and the people help reinforce that.

Some who is very school-spirited and academically driven should attend the University of Florida. UF also places a lot of emphasis on sports so it is a great school for someone who is a big football or basketball fan. It is also considered a party school so it is a good place for social, outgoing people.

The type of person that should not attend the University of Florida is a person who is not dedicated in maintaining their studies. This person procrastinate, misses classes and missmanages their time. This person is also someone who strays to one social group, for the University of Florida has a diverse student population and that person will feel extremely out of place. By the way, the person must be a party pooper because the Gators know who to party.

Really, anyone can be a part of the Gator Nation. Majors in medicine, engineering (especially architecture), and chemistry are some of the best in the nation. All the other majors are also highly ranked. If you want to have a great education (many graduate schools prefer students from UF) AND have fun, then you're a Gator at heart and UF is the University for you.

Anyone who would like to enhance themselves, whether it be socially, academically, or otherwise. The University of Florida is truely a great university for all students including freshmen as well as graduate students. All of the staff and faculty are wonderful people and the location is nice as well. Overall, the University of Florida is a great experience.

The large size of the school provides students with endless possibilities for recreational activities, social service, and education. Any person can join the Gator Nation. Since our school is so diverse, no matter who you are, where you come from, you can always find a group that you belong to. And of course you do not need to be a football fan to join. In fact, I was not. However, the friendly and spirited environment eventually allows me to be adapted to this big family. Therefore, I believe anyone who is willing to gain great experiences in college should attend University of Florida. This is the home far away from home.

The University of Florida is best suited for intelligent, hardworking students with a positive outlook on life. One can achieve tremendous success at this school with the right mind-set. However, be warned: Independence, determination, and resourcefulness are key here at UF. For once here, the student will be challenged to find their way in an extremely competitive environment with very little room for mistakes.

If you want to attend UF, you need to be good at studying, not someone who just breezed through high school, and you need to have a clear idea of what you're working towards, otherwise you will become bogged down and depressed doing menial work that doesn't have anything to do with your major (i.e. Chemistry and Physics for a Digital Arts major)

An outgoing, focused person that will do what they can to succeed in life. While the professors here will help you out, if you're not driven you will not excel and succeed.

The average student at this school isn't particularly academically gifted. Really academically oriented students should avoid it. More relaxed students/social students would find the school more to their liking. Also, everything about the school is BIG. If you're looking for a small, cozy type of environment, go elsewhere. Resources have to be spread among a lot of students, so there is little time for personalized attention- part of the reason academics suffer.

To attend University of Florida I would suggest that the incoming student be one looking for both an academic experience as well as an experience that puts you in a community where you are expected to learn major life lessons. I also believe the student must be a independent thinker who can handle doing much of the work by them self. Finally the student must demonstrate the maturity to divide their time between extracurricular activities and academic studies.
