Someone who is very narrowminded and not open to a diverse classroom with many different ideas would not appreciate the student body at this university. Also, someone who is not willing to work hard would not be an ideal candidate. Students here understand that this is a prestigious university and that the student body is very motivated. If you lose sight of your goals and let go of your studies, you are likely to fall behind.

While I love this school immensely, it may not be the place for someone who is completely, one hundred percent focused on their school work. While academics are a very important factor here at UIUC, there are always social events to take part in on the weekends or even during the week. I can see how if studying is one's main priority, they may feel left out when most of their fellow students are going out on weekends.

One who prefers to retain a high school mindset and who is afraid to take a stab at novel things on an academic, social, and philanthropic level.

I believe this school is good for anybody. This school doesn't discriminate against anybody and i think the inviting enviroment would be welcoming to anybody.

A student who is looking for a smaller less diverse school should not attend the University of Illinois. With so many students, there are so many strangers and people from completely different backgrounds and cultures. Coming from a small town myself, it took a lot of adaptation to get use to such a large campus. The classes also sometimes contain hundreds of students, making it hard to form a personal relationship with the professors.

Any person that is not open to new ideas, cultures, and ways of life should not attend this school. School life here is very diverse and people are generally very open towards one another. You got to learn to adapt and to form relationships with many different kinds of people. This is crucial to have a good life at my school.

There isn't a type of person who shouldn't atttend this school. University of Illinois is a place where all types of people can find their place and be accepted by the rest of campus.

A person shouldn't attend this school if they are not used to being around tens of thousands of people and cannot focus in large class room settings. Also, an unfocused person should not attend this school because they will be kicked out for bad grades.

People who want to completely slack off in college.

Someone who is not willing to put forth a lot of hard work in order to succeed should not attend this school. If he or she is just focused on having fun and partying, they are better off not attending this school because they will fail both academically and physically. A person who is lazy and not motivated would not do well at this school.
