The negative stereotypes are not accurate. Westminster is known for its outstanding ski and snowboarding teams, and there are a lot of students who are into those activities.

yes, a lot of people come to Westminster College because of the greatest snow in the country just 30 mins away, but there are a good number of people who don't partake in these sports. Some don't even like snow, or haven't ever snowboarded before. It is true that we are located in Salt Lake City, Utah, but Westminster is a private college where there isn't a dominating amount of Mormons. They are around, but there are more people who aren't Mormon.

Yes and no. Although there are some wealthy people as well as skiers and hippies on campus, the student body is extremely diverse. The bulk of the student body may have a liberal slant, but there are a lot of people who aren't rich and a lot of people who don't even like the snow.
