Arizona State University-West is a very calm and peaceful campus in which everyone respects our dedication to school. I love the environment ! Although this is my first year at ASU, I can say that they have done a great job in making new students feel welcomed.
Coming from a smaller high school and mid size graduating class, it was very nice to be able to go to a smaller campus, there was less of culture shock. The commute is decent and the parking is secure which is nice, if I have a late class I feel comfortable asking other students to walk me to my car. I also have met my lifelong best friend at this campus and I will always be thankful for this.
I absolutely love how quiet and small the campus is. It is definitely the prettiest campus of them all. Everything is right at the tip of your fingers and so accessible to anybody it is a great feature to my academic and social life! Also having the policy department right on campus makes me feel safe at all times.
I’m a true sun devil !! Love it at Arizona state University. There are many activities you can participate in and the student morale is always high. Many of us take pride in our education and are thankful we are able to make it all come to fruition here at ASU!!

If I were to know then what I know now I would have been better prepared to know what programs and classes that I would take to complete my degree without the run-around of flip flopping between degrees. That I feel is something that happens to alot of new students and it's hard at the time to really know what is your passion before you actually take that first step and try new and different things.
The best thing about my school is that learning enviornment is very comfortable. You can ask questions and you can express your opinon.
My school is academically and socially inviting, friendly, helpful, and motivates students to succeed in and out of school.
At Arizon State University they give you life skills from the moment you walk in. They train you to think and act as if youve already achieved what you could only imagine. Most colleges will give you the learning tools and all the knowledge, but no experience in your field. Here at Arizona State they give both the experience and the knowledge all in one. They want you to do great things now while youre still learning and not later.
Many of them are in their early twenties and are looking forward to finishing school and beginning their careers. They are intelligent, eager to learn and like most people, are looking to better their lives. There was one woman in my last class that has her Masters in education but has decided to receive a certificate in special education. I think she is quite driven and very admirable. I believe that most of my classmates, although younger than I, have much to offer their fellow classmates in terms of ideas and what it means to have an open mind.
The staff that work in the research departments that make decisions on who gets to work within the research labs or not. There appeared to be clique type environments within the research labs which I found unreasonable for people like myself who could have used the experience for my graduate school applications and I was not alotted that opportunity because I felt that I did not belong to that clique.
My school is best known for the teachers in which they hire. Many of them have been awarded prestige honors such as the Nobel Prize.
I would have pushed to continue schooling right away, rather, than taking a break.
It's a really popular and a great environment school.
A person that is not serious about school, and wants to party all the time should not attend this school. Also, a person who would prefer to be alone and lack interaction with other students.
The most frustrating thing about this school is how some of the professors are quite unprofessional. A couple of the lab professors do not dress appropriately and text during our lesson.
The kind of person that should attend school are the ones who are willing to give it all and actually come to school to learn and meet new people. The person who have a passion for whatever career they choose. Even if your undecided, you have to be capable of being able to explore different careers until you find the one your passionate for. You don't have to be rich to go to school that is the finacial aid and scholarship are for.
I love ASU West people really care about you here, if you need help with anything there is someone that is willing to help you out. There is tons of activities that students can attend.
I really don't know of many stereotypes besides the fact that it's a more laid back campus and it tends to reign true for most students.
A lot of the events that most people go to are actually held at the other campuses, but the West Campus does host lacrosse as their major sport. But for the most part, if you're interested in spending a night or a weekend having fun, it would probably take place at the other campuses. It's mostly quiet on this campus, which isn't a bad thing, either.
