I LOVE COLLEGE OF CHARLESTON!

Jordan

College is the best time of your life, so live it up and experience as much as you can before you enter the "real world." CofC offers tons of opportunities to meet new people and become familiar with Southern Culture. The school challenges each student, strangers become your family, and you will leave each school year wishing it wasn't over yet... One last thing...Freshmen do not take Freshmen seminar. It is a waste of time. Its not an easy A, it is only 2 credits, and does not count toward any major. All around it is a pointless class.

Torry

Best looking girls in the area go here. You need to visit campus on a spring day when classes are in session. Man o man.

Emily

Going to CofC was the best decision I ever made!

Devin

No one cares...

Chelsea

Just come here- its a small town feel with tons to do!

Aaron

It might just be my personal experience but I feel like the relationship between friends is different from what I am used to...I don't really have like any best friends, a few close friends but nothing like at home. I have dozens of acquaintances though, people when you bump into you'll just say whatsup but not ever really hang out with. I think the thing that pisses me off most other than not having a best friend is how much people smoke weed here. Just about everyone I know smokes and a lot of people that smoke weed several times on a daily basis.

Take the time to get to know people from the citadel as well... I know it may seem kinda intimidating at first. But they are really great people and love to have just as much fun as the c of c student body. If you hear any rumors about cadets being stalker or whatever, that's a myth. they are great guys and really complete C of C.

Megan

College of Charleston is DA BOMB!!! Come visit and see what we're all about!!

Taylor

Include the fact that you can really walk anywhere downtown.. Also although it might go "against" CofC, allow people to know the mass of opportunity for "out of dorm living conditions. The real estate downtown(within 2-6 blocks from campus) is often more affordable than the dorms. Seeing how CofC just increased the upper classmen tier of dorms to $810 a month (and will keep increasing it), when students find 2-5 other students to lease a house its more affordable for parents/students and pretty much gaurantee a better living condition.

Ash

The construction is absolutely annoying... but the new buildings are fantastic. I know that sounds odd but trust me. They are building s ome amazing things... but you mi ght have to suffer through annoying construction sounds. OH yea... and the tourists can get annoying too. Just learn to tune them out.

Alex

come to c of c and see for yourself. I guarantee that you would like it!

Lauren

While alot of students don't want to live on campus I strongly suggest living on campus at least for your first year, and stay in a mainly freshman dorm. When you move into a dorm of all freshmen, and no one knows anyone, it makes for a really open enviroment where everyone is looking for new friends.

Lauren

Overall, a wonderful place to live and go to school!

Jen

CofC is not like most colleges, no football games, but we do have basketball. Everyone kind of does their own thing on campus, but there are plenty of activities to do if you choose to.

Laura

I love this college. It's simply amazing and a great place to grow as an individual and to explore yourself.

Matthew

Most people here are pretty standard however there are groups of progressive people that are pretty interesting and active. If you have big ideas Charleston is small enough that it doesn't take to long to find out whats going on and actually be able to change things and get noticed if you are motivated.

Amy

Kappa Delta is awesome! I love my sorority and one of the best choices I've ever made was when I decided to rush.

Katie

points for KAPPA DELTA sorority!

Melissa

Kappa Delta!

Michelle

Kappa Delta Sorority

Alissa

There have been a lot of good questions to answer, so i don't think that anything was left out.

Melanie

The dorms are really nice and large. There are a larger population of girls, but lots of really great guys. The weather is great, but when it rains, downtown will flood.

Lauren

I am taking this to earn my point for Phi Mu sorority.

Emily

C of C is a great school, and I have developped some wonderful friendships here. I didn't know anyone at this school when I came, but when I joined Kappa Delta I immediately had a whole chapter of friends.

Casey

While each of the sororities offer great things to the campus, Phi Mu excels in its endeavors. Each year Phi Mu sponsors an Oyster Roast and raises over $10,000 for it's philanthropy, Children's Miracle Network.

Allison

GO PHI MU!!!

Kelly

i'm in phi mu at cofc.

Shelby

I've enjoyed my 4 years here and I will be sad to leave this city. Not of my choice though...

Lauren

Charleston is a great school that offers many opportunities for intellectual and social exploration. However, not all students use the opportunities offered so it can be initially surprising to the go-getters. Academic competition does not exist here at all. Students seem to be happy, when they are not complaining about classes that aren't actually that bad. Scholarships for academics abound. Research opportunities, clubs, and low-paying jobs are also easy to come by.

Alex

this needs to count for kappa delta sorority

Kristen

CofC is overall a great school. I have loved coming here for my college experience and have met some amazing people. It has prepared me for the future!

Abby

ZETA TAU ALPHA!!!

Megan

I really like the College of Charleston and I feel like, while the school is great now, it's going to be amazing in the next 5-7 years. All of the advancements and construction is going to take the College to the next level and leave the rest of SC's public schools in the dust.

Katie

A lot of students do community service. Like Zeta Tau Alpha (Eta Lambda chapter) does a lot with Race for the Cure.

Rachel

Greek Life here on campus is awesome. Honestly my sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha, is what kept me from transferring. Having the instant bond that comes from a Greek organization is a great way to for an out-of-state student to not feel alone.

Carson

Nothing at the College of Charleston beats the best sorority ever... Zeta Tau Alpha. These group of girls have changed my outlook and changed my mind on transferring to another school.

Andrea

I'm a Zeta Tau Alpha!!!

Hunter

Best school in the country.

Each campus is unique and CofC is def. unique, it is in a special town that prides itself on tradition but at the same time is not stuck in its way. The location is prime and there is always something to do, whether in school or out in the town. I was prepared to go out and party all the time but school here is a LOT of studying and projects and balancing this is the hardest thing to do.
