East Stroudsburg is a surprisingly nice university, many opportunities await you and literally the only think stopping you is yourself. Everyone her is friends and many offer their service in order to help you strive closer to your goal. If you love sports, art, science or math and language then you would definitely enjoy this school.
So far, the school is fantastic! Everyone is really nice and helpful. There is always something going on around campus, and plenty of opportunities to get involved! The professors are all incredibly open and helpful, and you can tell the faculty and staff care about the students.
Hi Iam a current computer science student in this college and I will be very honest with you people what kind of college is this. Professor here are biased and will not clear you easily and most of the time you would have to repeat the subjects because this college is short of money and has no reputation. This college has no extra subjects to learn and no specialization. But you have to have a strong background in coding. Also, international professor from korea or China will kill you and fail you everytime and you will forced to take undergrad class. No help is provided and they keep reading slides and don't care if you understand or not. They want Assignments, homeworks and Midterm and final to have superb score. This college is not at all easy and professor are the worst. Hate this college.
East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania is a pretty decent school. There are always events going on campus to keep you involved and to ensure that you aren’t bored. Professors are always available to help whether it be during class, after class during office hours or by email. Unlike most schools in Pennsylvania ESU isn’t in the middle of nowhere. We are surrounded by plenty of stores as if we are in the city and it’s all within walking distance.

If I was to go back in time and talk to myself as a high school senior there is so much that I would say to prepare myself for the college life. The first thing i would tell myself is to get into good study habits because when you don't have good study habits once college starts it will be very hard to keep up. The second thing i would tell myself is to become more organized. College is more stressful than you would think when your a high school senior. When your organized it helps you focus more, get assignments done on time, and helps to keep a balance between the academic and social life. The last thing I would tell myself is to make sure I set my goals, and not let anything get in the way of achieveing it. When most people start college they get carried away and let unimportant things take over their academics, but if you have a set goal in your mind and know what you want you will definetly succeed. I would tell myself that being successful and achieving my goals is my main priority.
My classmates are friendly, engagine, and are always willing to lend a hand.
The best thing about my college is that they have extreme helpful professors and tutors if you don't understand the materials taught in a lesson. They are also very kind and patient with whomever goes to them, and even encourage students constantly that they can help and their office hours.
The education program.
The amount of volunteer opportunities. I would have liked to be prepared more.
The worst thing about East Stroudsburg University is the food servers. Some of those people working are just miserable all the time. It would be easy to avoid them if it were the bookstore workers or Recreation center workers but it's the food servers. We have to come in contact with them every day and sometimes they are just downright rude.
The kind of person that should attend this school is someone who isn't used to the city life, and likes a slow paced enviroment. I moved out to East Stroudsburg from New York City and it is a complete 360. A person that is more laid back and likes to do activities such as snow boarding, and likes nature should definetly attend this school. They would love it.
Some of the people who are in the administration. They never really know what is going on. When you try and explain a situation to them they just stand there and look at you like you are not speaking English. They also tend to work at a very relaxed pace which means that somtimes it takes longer to get things done than it should. It is most of the time very frustrating when I have to deal with them.
My school is not too big, not too small; not too boring, but not too overwhelming; not too challenging, but not too easy. It's perfect for me.
A person who is very academically competitive would not do well at East Stroudsburg because professors and instructors are interested in each student's personal gains, as opposed to the whole community's standing.
I haven't been there long enough to brag.
The Biology program with a concentration in Pre-Physical Therapy is great for my future career goals. The knowledge the professors have provided me with will be useful when I enter grad school. The tutors that ESU provides allow me to better understand the material presented to me in class. With the help of the instructors and the tutors I have been able to master the concepts presented to me. Another added bonus of attending ESU is that it is financially cheaper than other schools in the area by being close to home.
