At Full Sail, I have learned to be a leader and to build leadership teams though not only managing people but building relationships with them. I have also learned to build a business through business law and ethics and have learned about the economics of the world in which my business runs through micro and macroeconomics as well as international studies. I have been encouraged to accept and embrace diversity and to empower others to succeed. Their four year bachelor's of science program is at an intense rate and is actually completed in 2 years and 8 months which builds work ethic and professional accountability. Last but not least, the computer technology and software programs such as Garageband, iMovie and iWeb or building podcasts and knowledge of Quickbooks has really prepared me further for the future. I also feel that my attending college has had a profound effect on my two sons who I have homeschooled through highschool. My oldest son graduated at sixteen and is now in college at Full Sail as well.

Out of my college experience, I have gain the ability to further understand the areas that interest me and what it takes to succeed in the future. It has taken me a while to find what I wanted to do in life and I am happy that I found a place that was able to offer me an education in what I felt was best for me to study. Although difficult, I am determined to finish and I hope to absorb all that I gain regardless of any failures I meet. I like learning and I wish that money was not a factor as I am not as well off as others. With that said I still wish to do the best I can and contribute to the field that I love. I am the kind of person that would like to teach myself what interests me but there are some things that going to school can provide better for you such as resources and goals to focus on. Further more college provides you with different perspectives that can help you understand things you never knew. So I would say in many cases, college is invaluable.

I wanted to attend a school that not only threw me into my work, but also teached me the fundamentals of filmming - the technical side not the theory of it. So Full Sail was the school for me. I learned so much about lighting for film and digital (which is my profession - lighting). Being a part of lighting has made me want to further my career to an electrician's degree so I can work with lights and cable while knowing what I am doing with the electricity. The people there were great, granted some teachers were there only for a pay check. But, the ones I interacted with really loved working with the students. I was part of a club that furthered our education and had us producing our own films outside fo class so we could build our resume. Everything on campus was great to the guest speakers to the extra work to be done on campus.

Most colleges in my country of Puerto Rico don't offer the student a true college experience. Being that they're about to loose accreditation due to bad management, or simply not having the resourses to keep certain degrees up to date. After spending 3 years at some college in Puerto Rico, I transfered to Full Sail University and it was a whole new world for me. What I noticed was that everyone there wanted to become a something, not just for the fun of going there. Suddenly I felt like I was in the right place, no more slacking, no more students uninterested in class making it imposible to pay attention. I think for me it has been very valuable to attend this college because I know and feel it will give me the knowledge nesessary to be successfull in the real word. With their knowledge and my pasion I know I'll make it far.

Kevin

I would not trade my decision to attend Full Sail for anything in the world. I am challenged to better myself on a daily basis. When a student can actually see the progress day in and day out, its a motivational tool that perpetuates you through to graduation. Again, the Global Professional Standard has trained me to be aware that I am representing myself , Full Sail and my actions should always reflect as such. Lastly, I am a Show Froduction Major pursuing a BS degree. When it is all said and done, I will be versed in recording arts as well as Show production.

Stephanie

What I have gotten out of my college experience thus far is the understanding of the basic job of a Paralegal. I have always been interested in learning about the legal process and helping others understand their rights. The first time I attended college almost thirty years ago I was encouraged by a parnt to go into a field that I was not really interested in therefore I did not think to apply myself to my studies. Now I am older and more settled in what I want to do with the rest of my life and it is the legal field. If chosen I will continue to apply myself to the best of my ability to continue to maintain as close to a 4.0 average as humanly possible.

Erin

I have broadened my horizons so much since attending Full Sail University. Full Sail encouranges students to think out of the box and be as creative as you want. I have learned how to handle myself in real world situations in the entertainment industry. The school has opened my eyes to many different areas of entertainment and has motivated me to stay focused. My business skills are improving everyday by learning marketing, finance and management techniques. My experience at Full Sail University has been valuable itself. I have made so many ever-lasting friendships and connections here and would't take it back for a second. My knowledge of the entertainment industry is remarkable and continue educating myself daily. The experience you obtain from Full Sail alone is amazing and if I could I would do it over again.

Kurt

What I have taken from school, is certainty of a future and a overall new experiences, in part, molding a new me. A new road of experiences that no doubt will change me, new friends thats on the same path, making my plans concrete and possible.

Savanna

Self reliance and responsibility has definitely developed from my experiences in college. As a student you are expected to do your work and study for tests on your own time and effort without constant encouragement from the teacher like you receive in high school. You also learn the valuable life skill of timeliness, especially since some professors will actually lock the door or mark you down if you are not on time. With this skill you learn how to be on time, which sets you up for success at future jobs.

Kevin

When you first enter the college life you realize you're on your own and you get the opportunity to earn value of lifetime, because that is what college is for many and especially me it's the last stop before true adulthood. This is the last chance to learn new things, develop your persona, and open your mind to new ideas on fulltime basis and I believe I took full advantage of this. Various subjects in various fields tested my patience, dedication, and persistence but I enabled myself to be exposed to what different fields of study along with perfecting my own and was shown just how challenging in different ways everyone's path really is. It helped me develop my character, enhance my skills, and prepare me for what I belive will be a very successful career in the hospitality industry. College for me has been the final stop to the rest of my life and I value the experience, exporuse, and knowledge it provided me has been truly irreplacable.

Joshua

What I have learned so far in these past five months at Full Sail University, have been so crucial to the development of my skill set needed to obtain a great career. I have learned so many things in such a short period of time. The knowledge that I am gaining will help me set a great foundation in my design work. With this foundation I will be able to hone my skills to perfection and become a great designer. It is so crucial and valuable for me to attend this school to learn, practice, and prove that I can achieve greatness. Once I graduate I will have the necessary tools and credibility to get a great job and be able to support my pregnant girlfriend and I. Without my education I will not be able to achieve my goals.

Amber

I have gotten so much out of my college. Professional Development, to utilize my skills in my work feild. The career services administration faculty is just amazing. The insrtructor's on Campus make the time for one and one if we dont get anything. Out of the time I've been attending here I have learned just so much accounting and business 103, basic general education classes. I love my college and so happy I am attending SJVC.

Wynn

I have not attended yet but, i intend to in January. I hope i will get everything i need out of my collage experience. I am not the only one counting on me. My three children will also benifit from it because i will be able to provide for them more than what i can now. They are my srive for excellence energy. I see them and know i can do what ever i want to as long as i put my mind to it and i intend to. I know i will do well, I know i will finish and succeed. I do not want to be a failure in anything which is why i decided to look for scholarships. I love the career field i chose and i know as long as i am focused i will get everything i need to out of my education. I chose a wondreful school and have the best three reasons to attend.

leng

College has reminded me about dedication and responsability. Dedication to attend school and keep up good grades and at the same time, take care of your own financial responsabilities. The most important thing that I've learned is: It doesn't matter how much time you spend studying. What's important is what you learn within that context of time.

Jay

I have worked my whole life as a unskilled laborer. With the recent recession I became one of the many victims to fall into a unemployed status. After months of unsuccessful attempts to be re-employed it was clear that just having a high school diploma was no longer sufficent. I needed to improve my education level in order to obtain the edge needed to gain employment. The first step was to map out a game plan which included returning to school at a higher education institute. Since I have always had a passion for plants the natural choice was to major in agriculture. After reviewing several school potentials I decided upon applying and have been accepted for a AA degree in Landscaping and Nursery Technology at Anoka Tech with classes beginning on January 10, 2011. The school has a excellent program for my major as well as a high placement percentage. I have confidence that after graduating my potenial for improving and stabilizing my financial position will greatly improve as well as having the opportunity to present a positive impact in my community.

My experience at Full Sail has been nothing short of inspiring. The work load is hard, but I can honestly say I have learned something new every day. Full Sail has prepared me in every aspect of the field I am entering, and has also well prepared me to work with people from all different backgrounds in a group setting. This tool is invaluable, and it is a tool I feel most universities do not offer. For a student that is truly looking to succeed in an art profession, I would highly recommend Full Sail. I often walk Full Sail Universities Hall of Fame, and when you see all the Grammy's and Academy Awards there from previous students, you get this historic feeling that you are in a place where you not only belong, but a place that is propelling you towards something great.

Keely

Through attending this school and taking the classes that are required to graduate I have learned more than I ever thought I would. I actually can say that I literally love going to school everyday and every class I have taken I learn something knew. All my teachers are in the work force and it's great to actually learn from people teaching something that they actually do as their job. It makes the experience so much more real and enables you to feel as if you are really learning something and will be ready to enter the work force upon graduating.

Yonatan

This is my first month but I know the experience here would be great and really helpful in the future. The school is made for me and I am get all the education I need in the fild of my choice.

Gerald

I have just recently enrolled at Full Sail University and have not yet begun my course work. However, I am very excited to start and prove to myself and others that I am capable of performing the required tasks and assignments to succeed in my chosen field of education. I am planning to excel in their Recording Arts Degree Program because I have always been very interested and in tune with most types of music. I am positive that by 2012 when I graduate from the program I will possess the neccessary knowledge and tools to enter the entertainment industry and bring a much needed service to the business.

yodali

I have dreamt about this school since high school. And it has not dissapointed me. My college experience has been so fantastic. In this school it's made possible to dream. Not only to dream but to turn that dream into a reality. I have learned what dedication and pasison means. Waking up early , traveling an hour and a half, going to bed late and having another class at 11 pm just because I love school. I truly feel like I can do anything because of Full Sail University. It's valuable because the students are taught way more than just their major. It feels great to be in a place with people who understand and feel the same love and passion for what I do. It's the best place and I would not go anywhere else!

Martha

What i have gotten out of the college experience is the commeratery of my fellow students. the knowledge of my instructors i have also leaned how things are supose to be and how things are in the real world don't always match. i have gained many friends that i will take with me through out my life.

Sean

My experience at Full Sail University is a challenge. And I know that I would need to study hard and be prepared, for the best. I understand that education is very important in life. In Addition, I am the first in my family to attend college. And my mother always encourage me to achieve as much as possible. I acknowledge, that attending college will futher my carreer in the long run.

kristien

From attending college i have learned wny an education is so important. All through high school your parents and teachers tell you how important it is to go to school and learn as much as you can, but as a young adult you never really listen. Reality really hits when you get old enough to get a job, then you want a car, plus you want to be able to hang out with your friends but you have to ask your parents for the money to do everything. Attending college has made me see exactly what my parents and teachers were trying to tell me when i was in high school. The most important lesson of attending college is learning that having a good education will help you get a good job. College also gets you ready for the real world and helps you be better prepared for the challenges you may have to face in the future, while teaching you the responsibilities of being an adult on your own. I would not trade in my college experience for anything.

Josh

So far, what I've not learned in college has been just as valuable as what I have learned. I've learned to not waste my time, learned to not put fun times over work times, and learned not to be irresponsible. But I've also learned that college is the best way to figure out how to live your life. Pass or fail, graduate or drop out, slide into debt or win every scholarship out there, college teaches you who you are. And, to me, there's nothing more important than that.

Eugene

So far a new out look on understanding the human values system and why we pursue the things we want.

Andy

I have not yet started college but I expect to learn the value of hard work, and realize just how things are done. You cannot always expect something to be handed out to you, you have to take it! You have to put in the time and effort and lay it all out. You have to put in the effort and only then will you recieve in return what is rightfully yours. You cannot just stand back and watch the world go by and expect objects to fall down on your lap and keep you going. No, you have to take charge of your life, work hard, and earn as much as you possibly can and college definitely teaches you that.

Vanessa

What have I gotten out of my college experience? I've gotten the chance of a lifetime. I have the chance to better myself and pursue my ultimate goal. I didn't get stuck like a lot of my peers, I'm not tied down and my only responsibility is myself. Being the first one in my family to go to college is so valuable to me. I can't let my family down, I can't let myself down. I've also learned a lot about myself. I've learned how very indecisive I can be when it comes to choosing a major. I went from wanting to be an engineer to a nurse and now finally I'm back to my original goal, to become a Pixar animator. I've gotten so much and have grown so much throughout my college years, and I'm just getting started. Being a college student is one of the most challenging experiences I have gone through, but it has made me strive for more. It has made me want to achieve something greater. I don't want to stop learning and I will do whatever it takes to keep moving forward.

Joshua

I am a quiet shy young man and going to college, I knew, would be a challenge for me. Full Sail was the perfect choice for me and has provided me with a college experience that I will never forgot. I did not like school much, proven by the 2.68 GPA I graduated high school with. Full Sail has provided me with learning experiences that I love, changing my opinion of schooling and my current GPA of 3.44 can attest to that. Full Sail has allowed me to "come out of my shell" as some might say. I no longer hide in the back of the classroom hoping that I blend into the background, I am front and center eager to participate in the learning process and offer my ideas and opinion. I have acquired education and skills far beyond my wildest dreams, the value of this college experience and the tools that I am learning each and every day and take with me will help me become very successfull in my career in the entertainment business.

brandy

My college experience so far as been very beneficial. I have already been able to learn so much and experience many new things. I have gone to clinicals and worked with cadavers which is going to help me later on in the nursing program. Not only have I been able to learn, I have really discoverd who I want to be and how I want my future to be. I have been able to set many goals that I know that I will be able to reach with hard word and studying. Going to college is the best thing that I have done so far in my life and I know that it will help me get to where I want to be in the future.

Erin

I have learned to be a true adult. I admit i am extremely immature, but living on my own and going to college i learned to grow up. I know i can still have fun but i also need to pay attention to surviving and making my dreams come true.

Heather

After completing all the previous questions in the survey, and reading th Rules and the Terms and Conditions, I now realized that I am disqualified for graduating on December 21st, 2007. Please take my provided information and use it to your benefit.

Juan

Hello: My Name is Juan Rivero Williams and i have gotten: lot of HEADACHE and almost NONE!!!! GOD BLRESS YOU ALL. Bye.

Brecken

Besides the degree, plenty has been worth the college decision. It was very much a toss-up in my high school years as to if I even wanted to attend college, and if it would even benefit me at all; but I found a major I thought was right for me, and now I am pursuing it to the best of my ability. Never before have I been so motivated, and never before has everyone around me been so motivated with me. We are all growing together, and as impossibly lame as that may sound, it's what college seems to be all about. I feel like I can finally live my life without wondering what it is I am doing out there.

lisa

With too many career choices it is very difficult to decide on what to go to college for so the advice i would give to myself would be to pick 5 careers that i would be interested in and write each idea on a piece of paper put it in a hat shake it up close my eyes and pick one. And the trick would be to not question it just stay commited and focused because the goal would be to just accomplish the degree first and then i can change my mind after i finished my commitment to the choice i made. The most important thing in life to learn is how to make choices stick to them and follow through wtih those commitments.

Eric

I would tell myself that their is absolutely nothing to fear. The best thing to do is to step out of your comfort zone so that you may see the world in a new light in order to grow as a human being. You should always keep an open mind and never make quick judgments about people or situations. Keeping this mind set allows new and exciting experiences to show themselves to you. Be mindful of the future, luck favors the prepared.

Joshua

As a quiet, shy teenager I had no plans on going to college, I wasn't sure what I wanted in life. During my junior year of high school I began to recevie brochures from colleges; one of the brochures was from Full Sail Real World Learning and I was hooked, I wanted to attend Full Sail; a GPA of 3.50 was required to be accepted , my high school GPA was very low. "Joshua, listen to me, I am Joshua of the future, you are a high school senior, time to concentrate on your class work and work to increase your GPA , isn't it you dream to attend Full Sail and pursue a career in game development? Joshua, it is time to stop "just getting by" and apply yourself, get your GPA up so that you may apply and be accepted to Full Sail. Also, look at paying for college, you know that Mom is just getting back on her feet from the divorce and the forced bankruptcy. Stand tall, get your grades up, apply for all the scholarships you are eligible for and pursue your dream for a career you will love and financial freedom."

Danny

Know who you are and what you want to do. Following your passion will give you the strength and focus to deal with all the details to get to where you want to be. That's the key. Then find a school that will be exciting and provide the best education and facilities. You have to be willing to commit to going out there in the world and not be afraid to do what needs to be done. When you love what you do, everything else falls into place.

Annette

If I could go back in time I would not only talk to myself but I would talk to all my friends as well. I would tell them, self included, that your education is not just something that your parents made or wanted you to do, just to be mean. Your education is what will excel and help you through lifes endevors, no matter how small or large. Open your mind and you will learn more than you ever thought you could, you will experience things that you never thought was possible and you will begin a journey that will not be an easy one, but one that once complete, will be the best experience of your life. College life will expand things in your mind that have been waiting to be unleashed, so welcome yourself to the journey that will guarantee knowledge, excitement and unforgetable experiences along the way.

Vicente

Never let anyone tell you "You can't do it." If you have a dream. go for it. Strive to be the best of the best and never let anyone hold you back from accomplishing your goals. The biggest mistake you can make now is to slack-off and get caught up with the popular crowd. You'll end up regretting it when your $100,000 in debt like I am right now. Stay focused, and motivated. It will become your best friend. It will keep you going those nights where you felt like quitting and giving up. It will give you the life and air when you feel like you cant breathe because your overwhelmed with what you got yourself into. Always keep moving forward and don't let anyone bring you down with their words and actions. Be tough. Pull through, beacause their's light at the end of the tunnel. The question is... How bad do you want it?

Tasha

Don't give up! With perserverance you can find a way to make it all work. The rewards will be so much better if you finish school now, versus trying to juggle school, work, kids, and part time businesses when you're 35.

Elizabeth

What do you want to be when you grow up? That is a question that we all have been asked at one point of our lives. The scary part about that question, especially as a high school senior is, what are you going to do with your life? Chasing your dreams is absolutely the right answer. With the right planning and preparation for college anyone can pursue their dreams. Planning for college is definitely the most crucial decisions a high school senior has to consider and decide on. Tuition, living expenses, books and supplies are all major roles that help the student decide on which college best suits his or her needs and education. Student loans can be very frightening, however, with the right guidance and understanding a student can afford the right school and education that he or she wants and deserves. There are multiple options out there that help provide a student?s way through college. Scholarships, grants, financial aid, and student loans are all available to students who qualify. Most importantly, start saving money now! The better the student becomes with managing and saving money will definitely help in making those dreams turn into a reality.

TommyWilliams

Select a major that interest you, continue to stay focused

Nicholas

I would tell myself that The college path is definitely the right choice for me. I would also tell myself that I need to apply for more scholarships to help, as times like this it greats really tough and money gets tight.

Michael

If I could talk some sense into my 18 year old self I would really emphasize the importance of going to college for something that I enjoy doing. Also I would have to tell myself that moving away to go to school really helps make the experience that much better. I'd have to tell myself that if I hadn't found something that I love doing I would still be at the community college, working at random jobs that I hate, and going nowhere in life. Moving out of my parents house and to another state completely, was the smartest thing I could've ever done to better myself because I can learn at my own pace with my own ways and I dont have my parents breathing down my neck. I would also tell myself that I need to get motivated. Instead of wasting time at the community college and waiting till I was 23 to move out, I should've moved out when I was 19 or 20, because now I would've been done with school and hopefully working somewhere.

Eric

If I had the chance to speak to myself as a senior, I would of told myself to pay attention more in math class. Math is a great thing that no one should worry. It is all around us and is used everyday. I would of also told myself to volunteer. Even though I volunteered a couple of times, I should have done it more often. Not because it looks good on your resume and college application but because it feels good to help others. The last piece of advice I would have given to myself is not to worry about the future. That if I work hard, study and believe in a bright future, good things will come.

Diana

College life will be very different then living at home. You will be responsible for your own well being. You will have to manage both your school life and home life. It is very important to be organized in both areas. Attending every class and completeing all your work on time is important, of course, but it will also be necessary to put in an extra effort. You must do all that you can do to excel in your field and make the most of the opportunities that you are given. It is also very important to learn not only from the classes and the professors, but to learn from each other and work together with your fellow students. College is an opportunity to learn and grow through the free exchange of ideas. It is this interaction between students and teachers where learning takes place.

Daniel

If I could go back and talk to myself as a high school senior the first thing I would tell myself would be to hang on because it's going to be a bumpy ride. Next I would thoroughly explain that funding for school is the hardest part of getting to school. That throughout your entire college career you will be fighting to get money to attend school for your dream, it isnt going to be handed to you and you will have to work very extremely hard for it. I would explain to start signing up for as many scholarships as possible and to make very sure that you do your utmost best at all your school work, so that when you graduate any loans you had to take out you can pay back. Funding for school is the hardest thing in the universe to get, and if you dont have funding you can never achieve your dream.

Valentina

I would say, "Valentina, don't give in to feeling the pressure to just attend any college just because everyone expects it of you. Know why and what you want to accomplish in your education pursuit so as to not waste valuable time and money chasing someone else's dream for you that is not your own. Take the time now to really take an honest look at yourself and connect with what you believe you really want to end up doing with your life. Define your true goal that fuels your passions. Research all the possibilities to become equipped, including opportunities in financial aide to help solve the lack of funds. You are being limited by other's not knowing or seeing a bigger picture for you. Find some help and support from people that are doing what you want to do for encouragement and information. Once you have a plan, stick to it! It may not be easy sometimes, but remember that you are beginning on your journey to end up not just to work to live, but to live in order to accomplish your life's work." This is just the beginning of that journey!

Jonathan

The best advice I could give myself would be to work hard not only for myself, but to set an example to my friends and family that I can do the work to achieve an excellent grade, but to also show what it takes to ultimately graduate college with determination. Secondly, to not be afraid to seek help from those around me. Not only because they are there to help you when you need it, but it will also show how much dedication I would have to get things done right. And finally, to be organized. It will help me out in the long run. Balance is key here, so being organized would help me in many ways such as being on top of everything for school but also knowing when I have free time to go out and refresh my mind whether with friends and/or family. So that when I hit the books again, I know I have moral and mental support in succeeding through my years as a college student and finally graduating when school is done.
