Iowa State has an absolutely beautiful campus that changes dramatically with the seasons. The people here are very friendly and welcoming, and the town feels small and comfortable but it still has a lot of restaurants and activities to offer. Des Moines is only a few minutes away for even more opportunities. The professors at ISU work to involve their students in the classroom, and I've had many great experiences partnering with professors on their research projects. There is a lively campus life with hundreds of clubs and organizations to join and a great sports environment.

They offer a lot of good programs and the town is very much a college town where the city is seperated from the campus area which is the main reason I wanted to go to Iowa State. Being able to walk to classes and not having to drive or ride the bus everywhere. There is a perfect amount of students who attend which makes it not too big or too small but perfect.

A really nice and clean campus. ISU also has really good internet all over campus and also has plenty of places to get decent food.

Iowa State's campus is amoung the top 10 most beautiful in the United States, as well as being set-up efficiently. Cyride is a top rated city bus system which conveniently runs through campus. Professors are well-educated but listen to students as well and advisors truly care about the experience of learning of each student. Tuition is expensive, but still affordable, and the finance department does well to provide grants, scholarships and loans to a wide range of students to help make it more realistic. Their academic programs are hands on and career oriented helping people receive careers.

I selected my undergraduate school solely based on being offered an athletic scholarship. Looking back, it was a great school and the right chose, although the reasons I feel that way now, are not the reasons I used in making my selection.

Iowa State Univeristy provides a healthy learning environment with students in the classroom as well as outside the classroom. In the classroom teachers may have a vast group of students, however, they are willing to answer any question in class. Outside the classroom is where I think students can strive, especially at Iowa State. Iowa State's campus is very condensed and not spread out so you are remotely close to any building you may need to use (such as the libary). All in all, Iowa State provides an adequate learning environment for its students to strive towards excellence.

Within the past few years we derived the slogan "Cyclone Nation" but the colors of the billboards say Cycl-in red and One Nation in yellow and I really think that it's starting to stick with the school. You can tell that the people who go to ISU aren't afraid of wearing the gold and red to classes each day, but also the slogan is bringing us together at games with huge attendance and other activities on campus. I love how unified we are progressively becoming.

Iowa State University is a unique campus because of the art that is located on capus. To the monumets, landscapiong and the architecture of the builidings on campus. The respect and friendliness on campus is outstanding. You don't feel like your leaving something behind when you come here, you feel like you are continuing on to what you are destined to be. Iowa State is beautiful from the people to the art work. Everyone makes you feel like you're at home.

This school is basically based on agriculture while others just offers my major.

I'd have to say what find unique about Iowa State is the atmosphere here. When I first visited Iowa State the one thing that set it apart from other universities was how welcoming the campus was to me. A combination of friendly students and staff along with an artistic campus made me feel right at home.

The reason that I chose ISU over other schools is because it has a great Engineering program with a good sized and beautiful campus, plenty of events, many different ethnicities, and a great selection of study abroad programs.

The campus draws you in and makes you feel alive through the scenery

I only considered two schools, and Iowa State had a much better bang for the buck than other colleges.

Something unique about the university is the variety of colleges that are offered. There are a number of options to choose from and each one has a uniquness about them.

Iowa State Univeristy is composed of extremely friendly, positive and helpful students and faculty. Everyone strives to do their best and help others to do their best. People who come to Iowa State University love being "Iowa Staters", we are proud to be part of such a wonderful university and we will make our university proud after graduating and having successfull futures.

Iowa State University has an amiable environment that I can immerse myself in. The other schools I had considered, as far as I can see, were not as accpeting as ISU. Another impressive fact about my school is that there is a strong emphasis on physical fitness; and therefore I am motivated to workout often.

ISU offered me the college experience in association with the chance for a degree. Alot of the other schools I was deciding between were in the city, so there was little student involvement, or they were not as big and beautiful as I would have hoped for. Iowa State encompassed pretty much everything I wanted in the college experience, and alot of other things I had no idea I would even want.

My school is unique because there is literally something here on campus for EVERYONE. With over 800 clubs and organizations every student can easily find something that fits them. Iowa State really emphasizes the importance of getting involved outside of the class room to create experience, expand your network, and enhance resumes. With the Greek system, intramural sports, dance crews, special interest groups, and many more, Iowa State students can feel right at home.

In my mind, the iowa state university is a very nice school, the teachers here are wonderful and i love study here.

Iowa State University is unique compared to other schools because it is a public college but maintains high standards. It is different than the other schools I considered because it is a 4-year school. The other colleges I was considering were 2-year. I chose Iowa State because I am from Iowa and I wanted to remain close to home. At Iowa State I can get a city life experience while still remaining in a rural community.

What's unique, ISU is one of most beautiful campuses in the country. There are over 200 clubs and many ways to get involved and meet friends. Another unique traditional is The Clock Tower, behind it is Tin-Shi Tam, and Thursdays plays song requests. An awesome unique teaching syle is from one of my favorite teachers, Professsor Monic Behnken. In one class when we do papers, she grades harder than the tests for us improve our writing,develope,critical thinking, and more useful skills & information to help us get a job with the class material. Everything is wonderful here.

What's unique is the size and beauty of the campus.

Iowa State is a beautiful campus and has such welcoming atmosphere to it. The campus is not spreach out and even though it is a school of 27,000 I still feel like I know just about everyone at this campus. Classes are really focused on the major and help the student discover what they want to do for a career. The professors here are very educated in their field.

Iowa State has an extremely unique campus. Rated as one of the prettiest campuses in the nation, students get to enjoy beautiful horticulture year-round. Unlike many other universities that I considered, Iowa State's campus is compacted and easily accessible. The entire campus is within walking distance, however there is also a busing system which takes students wherever they please.

Iowa State is a big school with a small school feeling and I love that. It's easily the best campus. It's easy to find things and it's beautiful. Also the instructors are amazing. They are friendly and actually care how we all do no matter how big the class.

What's unique about this school compared to other schools i looked at is the size, this school is much larger than most others that i looked at.

Iowa State University was unique to me because I really liked their education program here. They have labs that young children are in that you can observe. I felt like it was the better choice. I also got to take classes this year that had to do with my major and not just classes that were for general education. I also thought my college was unique because of how spread out the campus is and how nice all of the buildings are. I just really enjoy going here.

The campus is beautiful and it is easy to get to where you need to go. For example, all of my engineering classes are in the same part of campus. We also have a lot of opportunities for students to get involved in something they're interested in. While education is an emphasis, at Iowa State, you are allowed to enjoy college life to the fullest.

This is an amazing place with more options than you could try in a lifetime.

The variety! Course choices, clubs/organizations, intramural sports- everything on campus has way more choices than anyone could ever cover by themselves. Students are very active, involved and social, thanks to far more choices than most schools offer.

ISU is a very diverse college. It has the perfect size of a college I wanted to attend. The campus is big enough to support the number of students but small enough that walks from class to class are reasonable. Once you get into your major/ field of study the environment is more welcoming. You get to know most the people in your department and then there is more of a sense of belonging.

The experience in the professors and the research projects which provide opportunities for students to gain experience.

The strong intermural program is unique to ISU there is some sort of event to participate in almost every week.

Iowa State University is one of the top colleges in the nation! The professors take the time to get to know their students and are always available to help students who ask. Iowa State is a large university, but it still has the feel of a small, close-knit family. The campus has an overall friendly, calming, nature-filled, and gorgeous appeal to it. The students who attend Iowa State are some of the best in the nation and there are countless ways to get involved. (Things that make Iowa State awesome: Dance Marathon, good food, BINGO, and endless opportunities!)

I think my school is unique because there are so many clubs and organizations that expand the culture on campus. My school has organizations for all different cultures, activities, religion, sexual orientation, and more. I don't think there are many other schools that are so open about students' differences.

It's a large campus that allows students to get to know other students very closely. There's so many majors and colleges within the university that really allow for any choice of a major. Professors are really willing to work with students even though we're on a very large campus. It's a central campus where all bulidings are in one area, but a very gorgeous campus in all seasons.

ISU has lots of open land for ISU students to take advantage of. Even though we are a rather large university, it seems that you are still "home in teh country" when on campus. ISU is also a very good school for students who want to get involved because the faculty and staff truly care about student organizations.

The community atmosphere you can get when you get your connections aligned.

The faculty was honestly eager to see what they could do to help me get started at Iowa State where as other schools I considered took an attitude and acted stuck up when I talked to them.

It was alot of opportunities for everyone. Being in the Agriculture field ther are so many options avaliable to me to succed.

Two notable, and unique characteristics of Iowa State University include it's overall friendliness, and student involvement. Students at ISU are some of the most involved people: from dance marathon, to intramurals, to residence hall governments, to bands, etc, these are some of the most dedicated and hard working people I know. If nothing else, the last two years of my life spent at ISU have taught me the value of keeping a friendly disposition and being ready to help others. I believe this is a quality that you will find in nearly every Iowa State student or faculty member.
