Anyone who wants to try something new. You get a familar small town feel, but have access to a big city life as well. The school isn't just for farm kids.

I truely feel that anyone could attend this school due to its huge variety in majors, but I would strongly reccomend this school to someone who wants to build thier own academic carreer and are intersted in undergraduate research. If you want an intersting, fun, and spirited school, ISU is the place to be!

Any type of person can and should attend Iowa State University! Part of what appeals to me and many other students is the amount of diversity on campus and the different clubs and groups that meet there. Like many other Midwestern schools, Iowa State is a bit more conservative and has a lot of agriculture students that attend. However, there is a wide array of other types of people and majors that attend the college and help to make the student body unique. Any person who desires success at a college with a beautiful campus should attend!

Students that are well-organized and benefit from balancing schoolwork and other activities will enjoy Iowa State University. Ames has everything that a student needs to grow and prosper- a big school with a hometown feel. Also, Cyclone students should be open to travel opportunities, and expect to start searching for an internship well before their expected graduation date. Anyone that wishes to embrace a friendly, yet challenging educational atmosphere will love our campus!

This is a great school for people who are entering fields such as design, engineering, or business because it offers such specific graduation plans which help to guide the students away from taking classes that are useless and a waste of money. This school welcomes friendly, accepting students that want to have fun but also who take school seriously.

The kind of person should be friendly and wanting to have fun while learning. They should be interested in sports since football is a big deal at Iowa State University and is a way for the whole school to come together.

Anyone looking to gain a higher education in almost any type of field should attend Iowa State University. It is a great institution full of helpful teachers. I'm extrememly satisfied with my time here so far.

Anyone who is interested in a good education (especially in the area of engineering, or someone planning to go to veterinary school) but also get the perfect college experience by having good balances of a social life along with school.

I think there is a place for everyone at Iowa State University. We have a stunningly beautiful campus as well as varied programs from the 7 colleges (Agriculture, Business, Human Science, Engineering, Design, liberal Arts and Sciences, and Veterinary Medicine). The School has just under 30,000 students from all places and walks of life and everyone can find a spot to fit in from big city kid to Iowa farmboy.

The kind of person that should attend Iowa State would be someone who wishes to have a bright and well prepared future. Iowa State has produced many many talented people and they will continue to do so. From the inventer of peanut butter to the recent Nobel Prize winner, many people succeed at this school.

An individual who would like to attend a good college that is large in size, but not overwhelming. Almost anyone could attend, who works hard. This school is good for people interested in engineering, design, agriculture, or veterinary medicine.

Iowa State is a great school that any person would love. This school is great if you are outgoing, social, love school, and if you love being outside, Iowa State has the most beautiful campus you will find. It is a great school and if you are one of those students who need help, they have plenty of resources to fit your needs.

A person that is academically-focused, yet also enjoys having a good time would fit in well at ISU. As a liberal person, I was concerned about fitting in at ISU because it is generally thought of as more of a conservative university. I am in the minority, but I have found other people with similar views as my own and enjoy lively discussions with people with whom I disagree.

Really, any kind of person can attend this school. I've met many people with similar interests as me as well as people that are completely different from me. It's a bigger college offering many majors, so everyone can find what they want at Iowa State.

Anyone and everyone should attend Iowa State University. It is a fantastic school that anyone can fit in at. When coming here, however, you should come to learn, and to succeed.

Anyone who loves to be outside. Iowa State has a beautiful campus. I have also found that they are very helpful in answering questions and doing the best they can to help you get the most out of your education.

Someone eager to earn a degree and apply it to a career

Someone should attend this school if they want a culturally different experience and if they want to be challenged academically. Tranfer students should also attend Iowa state if they have had a rough time, academically, at another college because Iowa state resets tranfer student's GPAs back to a 4.0, which gives these students a second chance.

Any type of person can attend Iowa State Unviersity because there is no specific university wide stereo-type. Everyone should keep in mind this is an educational institution. I have met people that forgot they were at Iowa State for school and got caught up in the party scene. College is about balance and treating education seriously. The successful student is determined to succeed by applying him/herself to meeting new people, asking for help from instructors, and ensuring they are understanding what is being taught. Iowa State University is full of interesting people, helpful instructors and demanding curriculum.

Someone who wnats to step out of their box and try new things and meet new people. Iowa State is just big enough yet just small enough for everyone to be able to get involved and to recieve recognition for their involvement.

A wide range of people can attend Iowa State because there is something for everyone. Between 500 campus clubs and intramurals, a wide range of leadership positions, multiple options of living situations between on and off campus living as well as dorms and greek life. There are always activities on and off campus to participate in during the week and weekends. There are multiple churches on campus and in the Ames community, as well as plenty of non-religious students. There are a variety of sexual orientations, races and ethnicities. Overall Ames is a safe, active environment for anyone.

Someone who is interested in a culture that focuses on the student and not the appearance of the school or it's proximity to "power centers"

I believe students who are willing to further their education, want to strive for excellence, and also looking for a college to get them right into the working world once they graduate. Iowa State is all about providing quality tools for its students to succeed not only in college, but in life after college as well (i.e. the work force). If you are hard working, committed, and pursing a life long career after your diploma is given, Iowa State is the place for you to be to become that person you dreamed of becoming back when you were younger.

The kind of student that should attend this school is one who has a strong desire to succeed, acheive in what they put their effort into. A student who is wanting to have a fun college experience and met friends who, in my experience I know will remain with me my whole life. A student who is open minded and wants to learn.

The type of person should attend this school is the type that is not afraid of change with diversity and learning techniques because what worked in high school does not work in college.

I think that anyone could attend Iowa State. The activities there are unlimited and anyone could find a club or activity to join. I don't think that there is a lot of discrimination so anyone could feel comfortable at Iowa State.

People who want to achieve bigger and better things, who want to meet new people and be apart of something. The person also has to want it because the big reason why people here are so successful is because it is not easy, you will work and in doing so this makes you understand it and to be great at what it is you want to do with your degree. If your someone who struggles they can help you, they have tutors, supplemental instruction which is for free. If this is you, then Iowa State University is for you

The person that should attend this school is someone who doesn't mind a bigger school atmosphere. It's not too big, but it was a big step up from my high school of around 230 people total 9-12th grade. Someone who enjoys walking to class and doesn't mind a range from 7-15 minute walk to class; which is very reasonable compared to most campus's!

The type of student who should attend this school is someone who believes an education can solve the worlds problems. Someone who is interested in engineering is a must to attend Iowa State. If they have lived on a farm or are interested in agriculuture USDA labs hold great opportunities and the chances of success in engineering and agriculuture are very high. Even if the student isn't interested in these things there are plenty of other great majors like biochemistry, chemistry, kinesiology, business, or architecure. If they are looking for a great old school college ISU is the place.

Someone who wants to go to a pretty good university, but not a super high up one. It's more relaxed I'm sure than other universities

Any type of person could attend ISU because it is a very large and diverse school. With so many majors and people coming from all over the US and the world, a person could fit in anywhere and also find help or support in a variety of places. Someone wanting to attend a large school with a small school feel should come to ISU, because you get the best of both worlds.

Students who want a better future and students who are focused on achieving their goals.

The type of person who attends this school should most likely be looking into the Math and Science programs, especially agriculture or animal related majors. The programs for those types of people are really good and numerous here at ISU. The people who attend Iowa State Universtiy should like to have fun but should also be prepared to study everyday especially if you major in any of the above mentioned majors/programs .
