The Best thing about my school is the friendly atmosphere. Iowa State is located in the heart of central Iowa, known for having great people. I always find my professors, advisors, peer, as well as citizens of Ames to be some of the most high quality people I've ever met. Another great thing about Iowa State is all of it's extracurricular activities as well as career preperation. There are over 800 student ran organizations on campus that help you succeed in your career choice as well as career fairs held every spring and fall.

The biology major is definitely my favorite thing about ISU. All my classes, even my English class, are tied to biology in some way. I even found the orientation course that is stereotypically boring and useless to be interesting and helpful. I'm sent emails about tons of different opportunities for internships, jobs, and scholarships by my advisors on a regular basis. There are so many awesome study programs to take advantage of. I really feel like ISU is so helpful and beneficial, and that I will be successful in my biology career because of it.

People drink a lot and are pretty into the whole greek community thing. There's not a whole lot to do on the weekends besides drink though. Students are generally smart in engineering.

For being such a large university, Iowa State has an incredibly small campus (in a good way). The campus is so compact that you can easily walk from most of the dorms to any building on central campus under 10 minutes. Central campus has a beautiful green and in nice weather many students lay out. The whole campus is beautiful - there are tons of trees and greenery and the buildings are very "original" looking. Even in cold Iowa winters, the campus looks gorgeous covered in snow.

I would consider the campus the best thing about Iowa State. It's beautiful and well laid out. I have every thing I need right there.

The amount of opportunities at Iowa State is enormous. Aside from the hundreds of clubs and sports to get involved in, there are plenty of research opportunities to jumpstart your career. Instead of waiting until your senior year to start looking for a job in the job market, you can get involved in interneships on campus that will not only build your application, but open up doors to work with other companies.

I love the campus, it's so beautiful and great to walk around. I also like all the different activities you can get involved in, like lots of clubs, sports, learning communities, and other activities.

Iowa State offers the benefits of a research institution and a teaching institution. People are friendly and helpful and the environment is academically focused but still includes plenty of opportunities for fun and involvement.

Iowa State University is a great place to start off your college education. There are a large variety of majors available and the professors care about your success. The campus is beautiful, especially in the fall and spring. Iowa State also has hundreds of clubs and sports so everyone on campus can get involved and enjoy their next four years of college. I could not see myself anywhere but Iowa State University because of the many opportunities I have encountered from researching with an engineering faculty member to joining the college bowling team.

I really like that there are multiple majors here at Iowa State. I'm not completely confident on what I want to do, but I know I have many opportunities to choose from and so many ways to get involved in different colleges on campus to find out what I really enjoy doing or what I don't enjoy as much.

Iowa State University has a great overall atmosphere. THe campus is beautiful and students can easily get from class to class without having to fight large crowds, or great distances. The classes are very good, most of the professors are published Ph.D's in their fields, and it is clear to see that they honestly enjoy teaching. The students also have a sense of pride in their school, and its athletics. We are proud to say that we attend Iowa State. It is a very good school to get a higher education at, I highly recommend Iowa State University.

Professors are willing to go above and beyond to help students

The best thing about this college is the campus. It is very beautiful and amazing to walk to and from classes. There is so much space to sit in the sun and do homework or toss around the frisbee with friends. It is a great environment to meet meet who are friendly and very fun to be around.

The best thing about Iowa State University is the feeling you get when you are part of the student body. It's that feeling of thousands of people coming together for one thing.

The best thing about Iowa State University, in my opinion, is the beautiful campus and the friendly people you see everywhere you go. Central campus is one of the most beautiful places on campus in any season of the year. The architecture of the buildings is unique and each is rich in history and tradition. Walking through campus, seeing all of the green grass, trees, and people laying out in the sun on central campus always starts my day off right by putting a simle on my face.

The best thing about Iowa State is how accepting people are of others and how friendly people are.

I am always impressed of how much I learn each semester. I go home feeling like I gained knowledge everyday.

The best thing about the school is the size of campus. It's big enough so you can have room to roam but not so big that it takes a long time to get to class. You can cross campus in 15 minutes. This suits people of many mentalities as it a middle size campus.

I would consider the diversity of the school to be the best thing. Of course the classes and professors are amazing, but for me it was how different campus life was. I came from a very small farm town and coming to campus was the first time alot of other cultures or beliefs were introduced to me. I think living at Iowa State for the past year has helped me to open up and see all the options life has.

I feel everything at Iowa State University is great such as the beautiful campus, the large amount of activities available, and the people who gather together in this wonderful place.

The environment of the school. I love going to class and looking around on campus and seeing how pretty it is and all the students walking or riding their bikes to class. I love the options of where to study and the places to eat.

The amazing school spirit! We may not have the best football team, but everyone still goes to the games and has a great time cheering and hanging out with friends!. Also, everyone is always willing to help! Whether you are a freshman getting to know the campus, or a transfer student from another major, the faculty and students are sure to make you feel welcome! Nobody is discriminated against for their race or religion, which makes Iowa State a very enjoyable place to attend school, study, and make life-long friends!

I have gone to a few different schools before attending Iowa State University. I like ISU because the campus is beautiful and the students and professors are friendly. At Iowa State you have so many activities you can participate in and a large community of different people you can get to know.

My school offers so much for its students. Speaking from a minorities point of view, they offer us a vast number of resources. We have the Multicultural Student Association which offers us free tutoring services, APEX (a summer program), free printing, and much more. Theres also the Black Student Alliance. Here, it is a great environment to meet other black students while at a predominantly white institution. I do not feel lesser than any other student here at ISU. I feel welcomed and like I belong. They continue to make efforts to have every person and culture feel at home.

I love the design program we are very prestige and so thankful I was accepted into the Interior Design program.

There is a definate small town feel to this university. Although it is semi-large, it feels small and feels like you know everybody there after the first year.

Iowa State's campus size is great, not too big that you have to rush, but not so small you are on top of everyone else when going to class.

My school is considered one of the top three Engineering schools in the nation. Our career fair for graduates is looked forwars too by every major company in the United States becuase the quacilty of student and his or her education is that of a high caliber, and far beyond other Univeristy's.

The best thing about my school is the campus layout because everything is wide enough to have a gorgeous campus and yet near enough to be able to walk everywhere.

The best thing is the class sizes and the teachers. The class sizes really are not as big as i would of thought and i really enjoy all the teachers. They are very experienced in their work and know a lot about the subjects they teach. Also, the campus here is goregeous and is amazing to walk around on or be outside studying.

The students who attend, the engineering program, and central campus. All the students are very friendly and generally quite happy. The engineering program at ISU is very good, and most of my professors are good teachers. Central campus is so nice to just sit, or play games and such. In the fall and spring there are always tons of people out there.

The best aspect about Iowa State University is that the Professors are extremely personable. Once you reach your core class for your desired major, professors love to see you be sucessful. They also take time out of their schedules to make sure you are succeding.

I think that the best thing about this school is the environment - in the classrooms, dorms, dining centers. It very welcoming and allows students to be themselves with little to no restrictions. You can really find out who you are here.

You get a small-school feeling with big-school opportunities. There are so many resources around for you to take advantage of, and plenty of people who want nothing more than for you to receive a good education.

The people are friendly , and teachers here are kind, and the nice enivorment .

The "Best" about ISU is there is too much. There are plenty of ways to get involved and make new friends. There are many activites and sport events to do and attend on or off campus such as events at The MU or places off campus are fun. A Main event is VEISHA, it's a celebration that's every Spring and one of many oldest traditions. It's a showcase of ISU's commuity with many educational and entertainment events. Another reason is the beautiful campus and buildings. There are too many "Best" things about ISU to fit in.

I would say the community of the school is great. Iowa State does a great job of having activities, clubs, and events for students to meet new friends and to be invovled all the time with the university. Iowa State seems to really want their student to feel welcomed at the school and have it as their 2nd home.

There are so many things to do because it is a bigger school. There are so many offered classes and work experienced, for exmaple labs, so that you can explore what you want to do. Along the same lines, there are many student and university funded organizations, activities, and learning communities so that everyone can have a leadership opportunity/social life.

I have taken some good classes, but because of budget cuts, there have been classes that I wish I could have taken but were cut from the curriculum.

The best thing about Iowa State is that it's a big campus, full of many people, but the class sizes are small and managable. Although at first you may think it's easy to get lost in the crowd, soon you will be able to pick many familiar faces out from that crowd!

The diversity is one best thing. I have friends form China, Korea, Indonesia, Holand, India, Lebanon, Mexic o, Argentina, Peru, Egypt, Brazil, all over America and the list goes on and on. Most are from architecture also from my student employment at the design building; and my off campus Bar job I work weekends and get the chance to meet all sorts of people. Also the quality of professors is spectacular, at least in architecture. We are always talking emailing having lunch meeting and they come into studio on the weekend to work with us.

The best thing about Iowa State University is the sense of pride the students have. The fans at sporting events stay from start to finish in the student section, whether we're winning or losing. Iowa State graduates stay Iowa State fans for life. This is why I'm proud to be an Iowa State student.

Iowa State is exceptionally known for have good major programs. Our Apparel Design program is among the top few in the country and is the most highly recruited. It is the same for a lot of the programs at this college.

Iowa State University is a great school. There are many academic, athletic, and extracurricular programs to choose from. ISU has a lot of school spirit which is shown throughout the year especially during VEISHEA, which is the largest student-led festival in the US.

The campus is the best thing about Iowa State. I have visited many other schools but none of them have a campus as beatiful as the one at Iowa State. There is just so much green space and life to our campus. Even in winter the snow turns our pristine campus into a winter wonderland. I love walking to class and just taking in the surroundings.

There are so many different opportunities available to students at Iowa State University. Wonderful facilities, frequent informative/entertaining lectures, a variety of classes, the qualifications of our professors. The best thing about attending this university is what it exposes its students too and what we will leave having been provided with.

There is a way to make friends around every corner. The whole city is friendly, and so are the students on campus. Iowa State offers hundreds of opportunities for a person to connect with others that enjoy the same interests.

The best thing about my school is the school spirit. At Iowa State, theres alot of school spirit. Alot of students get really into the football games, even if our team isn't doing the best. We have some pretty die hard fans.
