The best things about my campus are the top ranked programs and the beautiful campus. ISU has several top twenty programs: engineering, business, design, veterinary medicine and agriculture. The campus is among the top twenty most beautiful campuses in the nation. ISU has the most clubs out of every school in the nation (over 600 of them), so people will find something that will interest them. ISU also has a strong alumni base - it's the second largest in the nation. ISU Cyclones are not just Cylones during their time at ISU. They are Cyclones for life.

The best thing about Iowa State University is the campus. Iowa State is known for having it's campus separate from the city of Ames, which hleps students like me be able to walk to class. I enjoy the outdoors, so for me being able to walk or ride my bike is a major plus when it came to picking a college. I also love how "green" Iowa State's Campus is. We have recycling for every floor in the dorms and have one of the top water supplies in the US.

Jose

The campus is beautiful, it has interative students from small towns. The school in other words is very peaceful and has a lot of space to interact in with so few students comapared to other schools of this stature.

Molly

Many of the professors in the department are considered experts in the field and have research and real world experiences to share. They are willing to talk about your future even if it doesn't benefit them or the school.

I think the amount of opportunity available is the best thing about ISU. There are so many clubs and workshops working throughout the year. The workshops provide help for different life obstacles like finding financial aid, writing resumes, and pressures of the world today. The clubs expose students to culture and other experiences. A majority of the organizations on campus do philanthropic events throughout the year. The Greek Community is a very good example of this. The more students participate, the more apt they are to being successful in their future careers.

Katie

The best thing about my school is the diversity on its campus. In every classroom there is someone representing a difference culture with a new perspective about the ideas and skills we are learning for our careers. Being able to talk to people from different backgrounds and cultures, and subsequently learn about their culture, is something that I only dreamed about doing. By actually talking and doing activities with these people, I've learned just how "big" the world really is, and that we, as a society, have only just begun a truly global society.

The best thing about Iowa State is the opportunities it offers. ISU is big enough to offer basically any major you want, but small enough that the professors in your major will know your name (once you have classes with them). Between the clubs, research opportunities, intramurals, internships and coops, football games, and everything else going on, Iowa State lets you decide exactly what you want to get out of your time here.
