I love it here! Almost every person I have met is kind and accepting! We have great facilities and our staff is amazing. We have great involvement for sports. The girls housing is amazing. It is an amazing place to learn and grow both academically and spiritually.
Definitely for certain types of people, if you are active in your youth group and church culture then this is the place for you. They focus more on the arts program and business program than the STEM majors. The RAs are nice but some let the power get to their heads. Siloam Springs has some to offer but you are at least 45 minutes away from anything big.
Great school! Small environment for growing together with other students, and the professors and staff are very nice and always available for school help, theological discussions, or just hanging out with students. The campus is beautiful and the academics are challenging, but students are encouraged to rest and also try new things.
John Brown is unique among Christian schools for its total commitment to open-minded discussion on campus about even the most difficult and controversial topics. The school is big enough to have real connections and opportunities for its students, and small enough for students to really engage with the professors and staff. As the guy who convinced me to go to JBU told me, you get out of this school what you put into it. I love John Brown.

I am a shy person who struggles with Attention Deficit Disorder. At John Brown University, I feel comfortable. The classes are smaller. I am able to focus well. The teachers care about their students. There is no one attending class who doesn't want to be there.
My goal is to graduate in four years with a Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design. I also strive to be debt free. My parents are paying a portion of my education. The remainder is up to me. Therefore, this scholarship will help me achieve my plan.
Thank you for considering me for the award.
We are like family. We share and help one another. We look out for each other and take care of one another.
The communication between departments and offices, such as the Business Office and the Financial Aid Office.
It is a place where the people really care about me. I care for my friends and we are like family. The instructors are personable and go out of their way to help us. The school really searches to find scholarships that may be applicable for me. I feel that I am appreciated and am important here.
JBU has a strong Business College and a vibrant Graphic Design department. The Christian atmosphere is comforting. I take advantage of the compassion in the instructors. They care for their students and want us to succeed.
It is a very close community. Also a very safe environment and while there I always feel safe. There is no alcohol, drugs, or other risky behavior on campus and that makes me feel like I belong.
Anyone that is liberal, from the city, not a Christian, too modern, or very career-minded.

How small Siloam Springs was, that John Brown typically attracts conservative, evangelical kids, that there is a huge lack of faculty diversity (both in academic focus and ethnically).
My school is caring, religious, challenging, and always there for you.
We have a lot of clubs. Some of the more popular ones include airsoft, ultimate Frisbee, dodgeball, and indoor soccer.
John Brown University is an amazing college that strives to make sure you succeed. The classes are small, making it easy for you to get to know your fellow students and professors.
