Brett

The residence hallls are horrible. The administration put 7 or 8 people in a study lounge and called it a dorm room. The beds were set up like military barracks and ruined a lot of students' freshman year at the school. The security officers unlawfully harass and question students who have backpacks and believe many students to be smuggling drugs or aclohol that are heading back from the library The school makes for fun conversation as there is so much to make fun of.

Justin

Don't come here if academics are not your first priority. Also, don't come here without a good fake ID.

Owen

the cons i would say about qu are that the 60/40 girl to guy ratio is really noticable especially in the health science classes. You do meet guys, but its just a little different than the other majors. Also, we dont have a lot of sororeties and frats on campus because they arent allowed to have houses.

Kyle

one of the only bad things about the campus tends to be the parking. if you live off campus it is nearly impossible to find a spot to park in under 7 mins on campus. so you need to give time to get to class then. i live 2 mins off campus and it can take me 20 mins to find a spot and walk to class (the walk is about 5 mins at most).

leis

none.

Shannon

there should be new ovens put into the dorms. We should get the money back from out Q-cards that we dont use at the end of the year. Its crap that we can get out money back. ITS OUR MONEY! If we dont use it we should get it back. espeically our Q cash.

Ashley

I truely love Quinnipiac. I think it is a really great school, and it was the perfect fit for me.

Andy

I would not suggest going to Quinnipiac. The negative aspects of the school by far outweigh the positives and all in all, it is not a good time.

Rebecca

I wish I went somewhere else, it;s not worth the money. The campus is beautiful, the location, however it's not the college experience I hoped for.

Corinne

As I'm sure most students do, there should not be an attendance policy mandatory at this university. We pay ALOT of money to go to that school and being told that if you miss more than three classes you will be dropped from the class and lose your money is disgusting considering we are adults, living on our own, who pay through the nose for school if we want to miss 5 or 7 classes our grade is our own responsiblity. And parking.

Regina

Security is good. Shuttle buses a major plus! Parking is a pain

Steven

This school is good for any student that doesn't need to be in an overcrowded basement drinking Naty light from a keg to have fun. I like to drink but i don't need to but swamped with people to do it. Sure there are nights when nothings really happening and you just drink with your boys or play pong, but other nights are great. And yes there is be some nights were you can go to a kegger in a basement.

mary

President Leahy should take a more active role in getting to know the student body and should be seen more on campus and at campus activities. He has come to only 2 women's basketball games. It is important he knows the students that go to his university. Our school is growing tremendously and it will take awhile for our school to earn the reputation we deserve. The tuition needs to stop increasing because we are not an ivy league school and we should stop charging so much. It really is turning people away because the cost is just unimaginable. For a school that is not known outside of the New England area, we should not have to pay an ivy league price. I understand the school is growing but more fund raising needs to take place.

Jonathan

The meal plan here is pretty awful. The meal plan alone for the first two (while I was still on it) made me want to transfer to a different school. They force you to pay a lot of money on a meal plan and then charge you ridiculous amounts on a per item basis. I don't fully remember the specific prices because I no longer use the meal plan but here's an example. At the end of the year when people have extra money that they need to spend, the school charges somewhere around $30 for a case of 12oz bottles of water that you could buy at stop and shop for $5. I could purchase things at the store and feed myself for a week for the price that it costs to eat in the cafe for 1 day.

Alyss

We need more boyssssss sooo if you are a boy you should come.

Charlie

We need more housing on campus that does not include the meal plan.

Jamie

Great education....terrible politics. Lack of personal freedoms and rights now even effect those who having nothing to hide or have done nothing wrong. The school takes a lot of liberties to keep a clean image. A student who held an anti-war poster on the quad was suspended for "potentially starting a riot." The school doesn't encourage social activism or opinion. If something is wrong we are told to ignore it. We pay 40K a year, yet we don't have any say into the product we are receiving. Great school if you are willing to go to class, ignore situations that you know are wrong, and never disagree with the administration.

Andrea

Quinnipiac is a great school! Of course there are things that I wish I could change, like the cost of books, but those are issues that you will find at every school.

Melanie

Quinnipiac is amazing! I couldn't imagine going anywhere else.

Lauren

I love Quinnipiac University and I am so glad I chose to come to school here.

Erica

I LOVE QUINNIPIAC!!!!

Andrew

NEW BLUE RUGBY IS AWSOME

Mike

The school isn't perfect, but it's a great time. I've had some good times at QU and I can't wait for next year. And it does provide a great educational environment. I spent last semester studying in Ireland at a school that has 15,000 students. I didn't realize how good the education at QU was until I went over there and found out how bad it can be.

Brett

housing is ridiculous, there is not enough space for the amount of students they accept.

Meghan

I love it here. I love the atmosphere, the school spirit, the classes and professors, and the campus activities are so fun- last night I went to one where there was ALL FREE yoga, wax hand making, dippin dots, and a flavored oxxygen bar! FREE RAFFLES at all big events. FREE giveaways all the time- always at hockey games if you go early. SUCH A FUN PLACE TO BE!

Zach

A lot of the stereotypes tend to be true, not the majority but you will find what you here about. Classes are hard, and no one gets through without a lot of effort. Drinking happens everyday, and so does studying. Skipping 3 classes a semester is a sin. The caf is rediculous and will charge you for the air you're walking in on. Residence Halls don't get much better than what we have, they are all generally sweet. Cliques still exist and you better join one quick. Always take a Tuesday night class. The rec center is a little weak. Campus is really as nice as it sounds, is in pictures. QU is the typical New England college campus. Get involved, its the best way to meet people, make connections and balance your time. The "big" parties on campus is maybe 30-40 people and that lasts about an hour. Play ping-pong. Pick a side New York or Boston and yes you have to care. Map out the days there is free food, which is usually 5 or 6 days a week. Make nice with staff in every department it will make life easier. Once you're here though, you don't notice many of the negatives because you become immersed. I wouldn't trade going here for anything. There is good and bad everywhere.

Dana

QU is NOT right for everyone. I feel as though you really do need to be a certain type of person to come here. Personally, I'm transferring because most peopel suck and made me feel like shit. Living 3 or 4 people to a room is ridiculous and also adds to the problem. But academically QU is great and the campus is gorgeous.

Amanda

buy rain galoshes, the campus floods TERRIBLY. go to sleeping giant. don't loose your Q card. DON'T buy your books from the overpriced bookstore.

Ryan

It's all a matter of finding your place. You're lucky if you find good roommates or friends early on who you fit well with, because anyone outside of the typical trendy, drinker, non-academic student is usually hard to find. Be yourself and people like you will migrate towards each other.

Harper

The campus is beatutiful, the people are nice, teh teachers are great. The administration running the school sucks. Cheap, out for themselves, don't care about students.

Adam

Not gonna lie... Quinnipiac Kicks ASS

becky

Quinnipiac is the perfect blend of academics and fun. It is known as a "junior ivy league" school, whatever that means. To me, it is academically challenging with enough time to go out and party and have fun all at the same time.

Sarah

Overall QU was a great experience for me. I wouldn't change anything except for the fact that I couldn't get anything done on campus myself, I needed my parents to call for things to get done. Other than that I love QU!

Ryan

Quinnipiac is a pretty sweet college, but it has fallen off as I have gotten older. Freshman year was by far the best year here. I still like it here but at time I wish I had gone to other colleges. I still would reccomend coming here however. The weekends are fun, the campus is beautiful, most kids here a cool but some assholes, and the school is getting better acedemically.

Ryan

It's awesome. Just please don't buy the university computers. They make it seem like you need to, but you do not. I have a Mac and I'm completely content. I've seen so many people have trouble with the Dells that it's sickening.

Mel

I absolutely love it here.

Zachary

I really enjoy being at Quinnipiac and can't think of a better college.

Matthew

I think I've been frank enough.

Robin

meal plan sucks, and so do the shuttles to the parking lots, and in general may weekend sucked this year(2008) compared to last year because the school was trying to crack down on it, in fact it was technically abolished, but students still got drunk, just not in the quad anymore or at the hill/vill circle which sucks. personally i think the school is making a bad move by taking away all the free food and events they used to have, it just promotes kids to continually drink and not stop for free food or a comedy show or concert or a number of other events, which will cause more injuries to students then there was before.

Jamie

Overall Quinnipiac is an over rated school and very over priced. However I enjoyed all 4 years I've spent here. Lots of laughs, memories, and fun. If I could do it all over again I'd probably do it again, except come into Quinnipiac with a lot of transfer credits so the pricing doesn't screw you in the long run.

Adam

On the whole Quinnipiac isn't the worst place, but it definitely is not the most progressive of places one mind find themself. It has a nice location and the quaintness one would expect of a small northeastern liberal arts school. The student body is entirely too homogenous and simple, as is the administration.

Lindsey

One thing I don't like on campus...the food isn't great. It gets very repetitive and sometimes doesn't make you feel so great...Chartwells (the dining service) doesn't provide the healthiest choices.

John

We have attractive ladies. The XBOX live wireless connections do no work, bring an ethernet cable. Make sure you have a fake ID if you want to go to the bars. If you are in the business school bring a suit or blazer you will need it.

Rachel

Since Quinnipiac is so expensive, I would make sure you know what major you are going into here. I would not recommend going into Health Science Undeclared because you will most likely never get into a program and graduate with a degree that you didn't even need to go to college for. Quinnipiac is the most amazing school-- step foot on it and nothing else will compare (except Salve Regina for looks, but from what I hear the social life and academic life is not up to par). Quinnipiac is getting more and more reputable year by year and some friends of mine with very similar GPA's and SAT scores did not get in this year because it is getting harder, so work hard because it is SO worth it. I haven't seen one person get homesick yet and finals are next week. This has been the best year of my life

Brianne

Quinnipiac is a great school!

Tate

If you don't like going to clubs and bars on weekens Quinnipiac probably isn't the school for you.
