People who strongly prefer to live in big cities or those who prefer the intimacy of small schools and class sizes. Gainesville is a small city and everything revolves around UF. UF is huge and thousands of people go to it, so class sizes are usually big. If you want to go somewhere where you'll get lots of individual attention, UF probably isn't for you.

The kind of person that is only books smart. This is a very well rounded school. We study hard, but we party harder. And still maintain above a 3.5 gpa.

Personally, I think those who do not know what they are going to major in should not attend this school. This is because the University of Florida is a very social place. Most undergraduates who is not sure of what they are pursuing will get lost and might ultimately destroy their futures due to excessive partying and not enough time spend on their studies.

No one is unwelcome.

Someone should attend and will not enjoy this school if they are not open-minded enough to accept doing new things and appreciating people that they have not encountered before in their travels. One should not attend this school is they are not energetic enough to keep up with the many things that are going on at any one time. They should not attend the Unviersity of Florida if they are reluctant to be infused with Gator pride!

A person who is not capable of maintaining a serious workload should not attend UF.

Someone who doesn't want to have the best time of their life. You need to be smart to keep up but its the best place to have a fun social life and get a great education.

I don't believe UF is the appropriate setting for a student who places great importance on spirituality. It is also not the greatest school for fine arts majors, since its programs do not offer enough opportunities for students. Also, students who are used to living in large metropolitan cities might feel as though there aren't enough resources for them in Gainesville. Jobs, career opportunities, shopping venues, and landmarks are scarce in this city. Lastly, a student who has an unclear career goal might find UF's size and lack of guidance too overwhelming.

A person who does not like to study or can not teach themselves the material

ougoing, interested on being proactive in the social-life. should be interested in sports because that provides a lot of automatic comraderie.

The University of Florida is a very large school. Although it has many academic resources, I feel that an individual who is not motivated to get invloved will get lost in the crowd and possibly lose who they are. It is not possible to suceed in life by just "getting by". Students at the University of Florida strive to get the most out of their college experience, whether it is involvement through greek affairs or organizations on campus.

People who are unmotivated. Someone who does not like small towns. A person who wants to cause crime. Anyone who couldn't afford to be away from their family.

Someone not serious about their grades and without a strong work ethic or drive to do well.

someone who has a really hard time focusing. someone who gets lost in the crowd easily. it's not for loners sometimes. if you get easily depressed. have just endured a recent breakup. are really poor. this school isn't very personal. you have to be incredibly proactive if you want to succeed. it has fantastic opportunities. but you can get lost in the shuffle if you fall off track. and no one will notice.

no one. i think the school is big enough that every type of person can go there and find their niche.

You should attend this school if you are outgoing and enjoy meeting a lot of people. The city has some pretty artsy things about it so if you enjoy fine arts or cultural activities the city offers a lot of that. I really feel like the school has a lot for almost any type of person. If you're into music, sports, bars, clubs, the enviorment, politics, this school has it all.

Somebody not willing to go to class. You must go to class in order to gain concepts you need to know in order to pass exams. If you don't learn how to study and pass exams, you will never make it.

A strongly dedicated person who hopes for a good future, while still having a good experience in school. This person must have a stong sense of balance to stability out thier school life and social life. If one was looking for a great experience and the chance to meet many new, and interesting people, UF would be the place for them.

Someone who is lazy, who is not serious about his/her life should not come here. Someone who is not willing to put in any hours to study and pass their classes and someone who does not go to class should not even come here period because that's a waste of time for the professor and themselves plus a waste of money.
