Did you know that FAFSA applications open on October 1st? While you get your financial aid info in order, apply for these 11 October scholarships. There are some large dollar amount scholarships. Good luck! ?

FEATURED: Cappex Easy College Money Scholarship

Award: $1,000
Deadline: Last day of every month.
Eligibility: U.S. citizens in high school or college or who plan to enroll within 12 months.
How to apply: Sign up on the scholarship provider’s website. That’s it.

GreenPal Scholarship

Award: $2,000
Deadline: 10/15
Eligibility: International and U.S. graduating high school senior, college freshman or college sophomore students, with a GPA of 3.5 or higher and a major in business.
How to apply: Submit an essay between 500 to 1,000 words on the topic listed on the provider website. 

CJ Pony Parts Video Scholarship

Award: $500
Deadline: 10/15
Eligibility: U.S. undergraduate and graduate students.
How to apply: Submit a short video, under 3 minutes long, on one of these topics listed on the provider website.

JRC Insurance Group Scholarship

Award: $1,000
Deadline: 10/15
Eligibility: U.S. high school senior and undergraduate students who are 17 years of age or older.
How to apply: Submit an essay of 500 to 1,000 words about life insurance.

Dr Pepper Tuition Giveaway Contest

Award: $100,000 (5 awards); $25,000 (5 awards); $2500 (10 awards)
Deadline: 10/17
Eligibility: U.S. students, ages of 18-24.
How to apply: Submit a short statement (350 characters or less) describing how he or she can change the world.

U.S. Bank Scholarship Program

Award: $20,000 (1 award); $10,000 (1 award); $5,000 (3 awards)
Deadline: 10/26
Eligibility: U.S. undergraduate students, residing in one of the eligible U.S. states (void in NY and FL).
How to apply: Apply online and follow the process listed on the provider website.

MyProjectorLamps Scholarship

Award: $500
Deadline: 10/31
Eligibility: U.S. high school, undergraduate, graduate students, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
How to apply: Create a one page essay detailing your ideas about the use of multimedia and data visualization in K-12 classrooms.

Niche “No Essay” College Scholarship

Award: $2,000
Deadline: 10/31
Eligibility: Anyone planning to attend college or graduate school within 12 months. 
How to apply: Just register on their website. That’s it.

CARiD Scholarship Program

Award: $1,000
Deadline: 10/31
Eligibility: U.S. high school and undergraduate students of ages of 16 and 20 
How to apply: Submit an original photograph inspired by any aspect of the automotive industry. 

American Bullion Scholarship

Award: $1,000
Deadline: 10/31
Eligibility: U.S. International and U.S. college students.
How to apply: Submit an essay of 500 to 1,000 words on the topic: What are the benefits of including physical gold in an IRA/401k portfolio?”.

Unigo Zombie Apocalypse Scholarship

Award: $2,000
Deadline: 10/31
Eligibility: U.S. citizens or residents who are 13 or older.
How to apply: In 250 words or less, “Imagine that your high school or college has been overrun with zombies. Your math professor, the cafeteria ladies, and even your best friend have all joined the walking dead. Flesh out a plan to avoid the zombies, including where you’d hide and the top-five things you’d bring to stay alive.”
