Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually. *Please note: The number of awards offered will be determined by the number of qualified applicants.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international students.
  2. Must have a grade point average of 3.4 or higher.
  3. Must have an SAT score of 1150 or higher OR an ACT score of 24 or higher.
  4. Must plan to attend the University of Denver in Colorado.
  5. Must be a high school senior or a transfer student at time of application.
  6. Must attend a university in Colorado.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: International students planning to attend the University of Denver in Colorado who have a grade point average of 3.4 or higher and an SAT score of 1150 or higher OR an ACT score of 24 or higher are eligible for this award. There is not a separate application for this award; students are considered upon admission to the university.

Additional Information: The University of Denver's commitment to international students and scholastic excellence is exemplified by a number of merit-based scholarships, awarded to new first-year and transfer undergraduate international students annually. Each recipient will be notified through his/her acceptance letter.

Award Amount: $10,000 to $30,000 per year for first year students, $5,000 to $21,000 per year for transfer students  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $60,000.

There is not a separate application for this award. All international students are considered for this award once an application for admission to the University of Denver is submitted. Applications for admission are available online from the University of Denver website. In addition to the completed application, each student must submit a non-refundable $50 U.S. application fee; a photograph (passport size) taken within a year of the date of application; official transcripts from each high school or previous college attended which should be sent directly from the schools to the university admissions office; two letters of recommendation (at least one should be from an instructor) indicating quantitative information scores; a personal statement of 300 or more words depicting his/her life, interests and education; official ACT or SAT scores submitted directly to the university; official scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (minimum score accepted is 500 for paper-based or 173 for computer-based); and a financial verification form. Although applications are accepted on a rolling admission basis, students are advised to apply by Feb. 1 in order to guarantee admission review for the fall quarter. Applications postmarked after this priority date will be considered on a case-by-case, space-available basis.
