The Barber and Hairdresser Grant Program is a state program, administered through the Oregon Student Assistance Commission, established to provide financial assistance to residents of Oregon who are attending a licensed school of barbering, hair design, cosmetology, or manicure in Oregon. The award is based on the financial need of the student. Because of limited funds, only students with a significant need for financial help receive Barber and Hairdresser Grants. The number of Grants awarded depends on interest earned through state Barber and Hairdresser funds. Students selected for an award will be notified by the school. Eligible student must not be: currently in prison; concurrently enrolled in high school and the beauty or barbering program; in default on any Title IV funds, including Stafford loans.
To apply for this award, students must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov, at high school guidance offices, and at college finan ... sign up for full scholarship deadline information.
