The International Foodservice Editorial Council (IFEC) is a non-profit professional association of foodservice communicators. Its 275 members include writers and editors, public relations and marketing communications professionals, educators and consultants working in the foodservice industry. Through its scholarship program and other educational activities, IFEC aims to encourage high professional standards among those working in and with the foodservice media. Applicants for this scholarship will be judged on the basis of strong academic record, good character references and financial need. Past recipients have been students enrolled in culinary schools as well as liberal arts colleges and universities. A committee made up of members of IFEC chooses these recipients. Scholarship recipients willl be notified in July.
