Association for Iron and Steel Technology
$3,000 annually, non-renewable. Students may reapply each year. Scholarship recipients will also receive a one-year Material Advantage membership. Through the Material Advantage program, students are members of the following organizations serving the materials science and engineering community: American Ceramic Society (ACerS), Association for Iron & Steel Technology (AIST), ASM International, and The Minerals, Metals and Materials Society (TMS).

This scholarship was established by Chaparral Steel as a tribute to Ronald Lincoln and is awarded to individuals who best exemplify the qualities of leadership and innovation for which Mr. Lincoln was so well known throughout his career. AIST Foundation Scholarship awards are intended to attract talented and dedicated students and to encourage them to pursue careers within the iron and steel industry. The AIST Foundation Board of Trustees administers the scholarships. Please note: Students do not have to be AIST members or be dependents of AIST members to apply for this award. Scholarship winners will be announced in December.
