In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be student pursing an HVAC degree or certificate at an accredited community college, technical/vocational school, or approved technical institute during the 2020-2021 academic year (Ex.Associate’s Degree, Certificate, or Diploma in an HVAC technical program).
  2. Must be a US Citizen, US National, and/or US Permanent Resident based on the guidelines utilized by the US Department of Education Federal Financial Aid eligibility.
  3. Must have a minimum grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent.
  4. Must be planning to enroll or currently enrolled in an HVAC technical program at an accredited institution for the entire 2020-2021 academic year.

Additional Information: The EGIA Foundation Scholarship Program was established to recognize the excellent and deserving students seeking to pursue an HVAC technical education. This scholarship provides essential financial support to aspiring residential HVAC, or home performance contracting careers. Up to 20 eligible students will be awarded a $2500 scholarship to pursue an HVAC degree or certificate at an accredited community college, technical/vocational school, or approved technical institute during the 2020-2021 academic year.

Award Amount: Winner of the EGIA Scholarship will receive $2,500.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,500.

To apply for the EGIA Scholarship , students must complete the online application form at the provider website. All applications must be submitted by the deadline date. The online application is where applicants may track the status of their application. There is a short essay where applicants are asked to explain what inspired them to choose an HVAC technical education and their plans upon graduating. Winners will be announced at the end of May 2020.
