Number of Awards & Eligibility: There are six award available.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Undergraduate or graduate level, whose major course of study encompasses the field of Civil or Environmental Engineering, Public Works Administration or other programs within the public works field are eligible. Applicants may be part time or full time at community colleges or universities; however, candidates must be seeking a degree or certification.

Description: Was your training budget reduced? Want to attend a conference, seminar, certificate course, or take an eLearning class? The Chicago Metro Chapter wants ANY member or employee of a member agency to apply for a stipend that could fund their class, seminar, certificate, training program, etc. and will help with professional growth and development in our public works field. This new focus for our Chapter program (now offered 2x per year) aims to support APWA members and employees at all levels through reimbursements for endeavors in training, credentialing and continuing education in a variety of non-degree programs.

Award Amount: Chosen applicants will each receive $500.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $10,000.
