Number of Awards & Eligibility: Approximately fifty awards are offered each year.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must maintain a grade point average of 3.0.
  2. Must currently in high school or graduated from a United States high school or obtained a GED.
  3. Must be a DACA recipient.

Description: By partnering with schools to cover tuition, room and board for a four-year degree, 360 DACA recipients received awards. Scholars also have access to mentors, internships and other personal and professional growth opportunities. Typical recipients are DACA students with high GPA and taking advanced or challenging high school classes.

Additional Information: Golden Door Scholars is a non-profit. Their mission is to help undocumented DACA students gain upward mobility through education. To be eligible, you need to be a DACA student pursuing an undergraduate degree. You must also be able to take part in paid internships. Scholars are also required to maintain a 3.0 GPA.

Award Amount: The grant value is up to $40,000 to cover tuition, room and board for a four-year degree.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $40,000.
