Description: The Lindsey Vonn Foundation together with DICK’s Sporting Goods offers the Sports Matter Scholarship for individuals in need, with a passion for and who show promise in a sport. Must be 10 to 18 years of age at the time of application. Scholarship limit amount: $15,000.

Additional Information: The Lindsey Vonn Foundation provides future generations the tools they need to pursue their passion, overcome obstacles, and reach their goals through scholarships, programs, and mentorship. A scholarship from the Foundation is a financial aid option for academic, athletic, and enrichment activities. Gender: All genders Age: 10 to 18 years of age at the time of application Location: National (U.S.) Financial need based on household income, number of dependents, and location/cost of living Students can receive only one scholarship per year, but can receive three scholarships in total during their period of eligibility Scholarships will be awarded twice each year in the Spring and Fall. In order to apply for a scholarship applicants must follow the application eligibility and guidelines. All applicants must fill out the online application on the Foundation's website. The application requires one letter of recommendation and a written or video essay with extra requirements when applying for more than $5,000. After initial application review, the Scholarship Selection Committee may contact you for a phone or video chat panel interview.

Award Amount: Up to $15,000 offered.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $15,000.
