This fellowship is intended to support an individual project of a scholarly nature, related to Aegean Bronze Age archaeology, and to be conducted between July 1 of the award year and the following June 30. Preference will be given to candidates whose project requires travel to the Mediterranean for the purpose stated above. The recipient must agree to: abide by the terms of the award; submit to the Chair of the AIA Fellowships Committee a report on the use of the fellowship stipend within 30 days of the end of his/her fellowship tenure; and submit an abstract to the AIA Program Committee to present work at the AIA Annual Meeting within two years of being awarded the fellowship. Previous Pomerance Fellows are also not eligible.
