Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually. In the 2015-2016 academic year, there were 18 scholarships awarded.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be pursuing a master's or doctoral degree.
  3. Must have a connection to South Carolina.
  4. Must be pursuing theological studies.
  5. Must have an affiliation with or connection to the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.
  6. Must attend a CBFSC partner institution.

Applications are available on the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of South Carolina (CBFSC) website. In addition to a completed application, the student must submit a two-page synopsis that tells more about himself/herself. It should include the following topics: his/her faith journey and calling; goals for ministry; if he/she hopes to serve in South Carolina; and his/her current relationship with the CBFSC. Application materials may be mailed or emailed using the contact information provided. Applications are due by March 15 for the fall term and September 15 for the spring term.
