Description: These scholarships were established to help Elks scholars pursue a career in medicine. This year, eight (8) $26,000 scholarships were offered exclusively to Elks scholars (current or alum)** entering their first year of medical school in 2020. The deadline for the 2020 contest has passed.

Application requirements for the Gunther & Lee Weigel Medical School Scholarships are:

  • No application requirements for this scholarship
Additional Information: This award is only open to current and former scholarship recipients of the Elks National Foundation. Winners of local Lodge scholarships and State Elks Association scholarships are not eligible for this program. This program is not open to the general public.

Award Amount: Up to $26,000 scholarships offered.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $208,000.
