College of Southern Nevada has a ton of potential if the college administration was run more efficiently. Financial aid is a joke same with the registrar. If something goes wrong with your account, good luck trying to get it figured out. Academics and teachers were good and I enjoyed the actual classes.

This school is really great to get a leg up before transferring to another school. I was able to get my Associates degree in 2 years including summer classes so it is really accessible to graduate quickly if you really want to. Some of the science classes are hard to get into because they are always really full and sometimes you might get wait listed. The math classes are also a little difficult to get into if you want to get a good professor. Sometimes there are bad professors but that present at every college. The on campus events can be fun but they are rare, they are often very small and not really well advertised. The on campus food is super expensive but they have free microwaves but bring your own spoons and forks because they will charge you for everything except a napkin. Especially because they know we are poor college students so they want to make sure they get all of your money as far as food. Around the school there are a few places to get food but not much variety unless you want fast food or more expensive restaurants. There is a little bit of crime in the area because it is not the safest towards the night time. The campus is safe but the surrounding area is not very safe because there are a lot of robberies and occasionally a shooting. But on campus there are a lot of police around and security checking to make sure everything is okay.

This is not a place to get the "college experience". It's more of a place you go to get prerequisite classes done and eventually transfer. The students of the campus are reserved to themselves and you don't hear or see much about extracurricular activities. The College of Southern Nevada doesn't have a sports team and it also doesn't have a gym to exercise in. The place is pretty boring but if you choose the right professors for the classes you're interested in you will be pretty happy there.

I like CSN because they have a lot of student support (Tutoring, daycare, career services, advisors..etc.) and they have enough classes to serve the need of students. I have never had an issue getting into the classes I need, maybe I have just lucked out but I don't hear others complaining that they can t get into what they need. The also have a lot of student work available as well.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

College of Southern Nevada provides smaller class sizes and excellent professors. Professors are very tentative and encouraging to their students. Their are multiple campuses in Nevada which enables you to be able to get any service at your hands from financial aid to advisors. It is easy to set up appointments and they have a quick check in system! College of Southern Nevada has a small community which ensures success.

CSN is a great place. I was never very spirited in high school but at CSN I feel like I'm part of a community. The CAFE has really good food. The mood is calm but aware. The teachers are interested in educating and don't hate their jobs. For anyone at all, CSN is a good place to pursue your education.

A great college full of laid back retired teachers who know their stuff and new teachers who are on the cutting edge of research in their fields. The class sizes are small and very personal with open office hours for most teachers with a nice clean facility in all 3 campuses, which are spread across the valley to accommodate a variety of students in different locations,

My overall opinion of College of Southern Nevada is great. The past teachers that I have had were all very good. They were always there to help when needed, and gave clear instructions. College of Southern Nevada is a great school to attend if you work full time. The academic counselors work around with whatever schedule you have to make sure you have the schedule that you like. Lastly, the overall atmosphere of the campus is great. I never feel uncomfortable, it is just a happy surrounding.

College of Southern Nevada (CSN) is a pretty good school. They have awesome teachers there who will help and want you to understand what they're teaching. Their online classes are easy to attend (if you have a computer and wifi). Some teachers give out extra-credit actives to do such as; hiking, going to a culture event, etc. They also have a day care for students with children so they can attend their classes while their children are in day care for the day. It's a great school for a community college. I'm glad i'm attending.

It’s a great school that gives many tools for you to succeed. They have a variety of venues that help you outside of the classroom. I love the class sizes and the professors seem like they really enjoy what they’re teaching. The campus is not so huge that I feel lost, but just big enough.
