It is a great place to further your education. The students and staff are so welcoming and always strive to be better for their students. I wouldn't want to further my education anywhere else. The professors make it a priority to get to know their students no matter what. Tarleton State University is the place to be.

I transferred here and it was the best choice I ever made. The community is amazing and I love being a Tarleton Texan! The professors are good at what they do and I see a bright future for myself here. I love going to the thrift stores around campus and going to the football games.

Jayden - 10/20/2023

Tarleton State University is an agriculture based college and it definitely shows in the population on campus. With most traditions being agriculture base but that can be expected as we are in the cowboy capital of America. The overall experience though is one that is welcoming and pride as we are big on traditions and our extracurricular organizations. The campus itself is well maintained and offers a pretty diverse amount of facilities such as an indoor aquatics center. Overall my time at Tarleton has been a pleasure as they cater to a vast amount of passions and interests so you are bound to have a sense of belonging at Tarleton State University.

I have only been at Tarleton for two semesters now, and this upcoming year will be my second year at Tarleton. Personally, I enjoy this school a lot. The community is not too small, nor too big, but just enough to where you can recognize people all around campus. I enjoy how small the campus is, as walking to my classes is not a hassle until it rains, that is.

  5. What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

Well this school has given me an amazing learning experiance, but the only thing that I wish I could have been made aware of is: the cost of school itself and the cost of living on and around campus. It is hard to estimate how much living really is. I recieved scholarships from my high school but they only helped the first year of school. I wish that the school could have given me kind of a heads up on how much it was really going to be.
