I have only been at Tarleton for two semesters now, and this upcoming year will be my second year at Tarleton. Personally, I enjoy this school a lot. The community is not too small, nor too big, but just enough to where you can recognize people all around campus. I enjoy how small the campus is, as walking to my classes is not a hassle until it rains, that is.
It is a beautiful campus with extremely nice and caring people.
I absolutely love it here ! the faculty amd staff are helpful and approachable, the facilities are all clean and easily accessible , the students are for the most part happy and excited to be learning and living here on campus . As Tarleton is in a small town theres not much to do in town so less trouble to get into as well .
Tarleton is an amazing University, and the staff and professors do everything they can to make sure the students are successful. Being on campus is very fun and there are many student activities outside of class for students to enjoy as well. Once again great college to attend and Bleed Purple!!!
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Tarleton State University is 50%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
To find the right college be sure to visit the campus. Talk with students and alumni about their experience at the campus. Once you have found what you believe is the right campus find an organization to join. One that shares the same beliefs and/or interests. That is where friends are sure to be found.
Tarleton is a great school that seems to be hindered by its label as Division II school. Though I feel like I've received an excellent college education, I feel like by education would be trumped by someone who had a degree from a better known school.
The friendliness of the students and staff!
Well this school has given me an amazing learning experiance, but the only thing that I wish I could have been made aware of is: the cost of school itself and the cost of living on and around campus. It is hard to estimate how much living really is. I recieved scholarships from my high school but they only helped the first year of school. I wish that the school could have given me kind of a heads up on how much it was really going to be.
Tarleton State University is a tradition-filled, friendly, school that offers a great education for a relatively affordable price.
This school has a great nursing program and is a small town so there are no distractions. Also has small intimate classes that will give me the attention and helpI desire.
Individuals who enjoy small class size, friendly educators, and a pleasant environment will love Tarleton State University. Students will also enjoy affiliation with A&M University.
The kind of person who should not attend this university is the kind of person looking for a structured, well rounded university. This school, I have found, is more of a party school than anything. I am trying my best to leave this university for one that takes education more seriously.
Classmates are majorily conservative but still open-minded to other's opinions.
I love the size of Tarleton. It's personable, and it is a good reflection of the culture in this part of Texas. The professors are great, and the tuition is reasonable. Tarleton is a school I trust. It isn't so big that you are just a number that is often times forgotten. Every one on the Tarleton staff that I have talked with has been very respectful and helpful. I guess, in the end, that's what makes Tarleton the school that I chose to attend.
The small classes are great! Each teacher really cares if individuals succede and are there to support you. Most of the professors are former Tarleton students and support the traditions and cellebrations. Our traditions are also great. We are known for the "Purple Poo," a secret spirit organization that host various traditions and show up when you don't expect them. They are covered from head-to-toe and use voice changers so no one can identify them. . Our Texan rider, Oscar P. (the founder's pet duck), and the plowboys are all iconic spirit participants.
The most frustrating thing about Tarleton State University is that there is a limited number of housing opportunities on and off campus that fit my budget.
Average I guess. If you want it's fairly easy to get to know your professors and the tutoring and supplemental instruction services are legit!
fantastic. go to all the spa events you can and befriend the poo. not much to do in town but the students tend to make things happen. lot of partying tho..
It's a really great kinda medium size and a very tightknit campus. People tend to be very involved and the Poo are always around ;) The sports are big here and there's a ton of spirit wherever you go. Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut parking sucks, majorly.
