Applications are available online from the Geneseo Migrant Center (GMC) website. Students have two options to apply for funding, depending on what level of support is needed. Students who wish to apply for a grant of less than $500 must complete sections A and C of the application. Section C includes contact information for a person providing a letter of recommendation on the student's behalf. No other materials besides the application and letter of recommendation are required. Students who wish to apply for a grant of $500 or more must complete all sections of the application, including the section regarding the letter of recommendation. The student must also submit the following materials: a budget or other documentation of expenses; and a portfolio or samples of work, i.e. photos, tapes, video, etc. Please note: The required letter of recommendation is very important in evaluating the application. It should address the quality of both the applicant and the intended project. Applications for grants under $500 are accepted throughout the year and are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. All other applications are due on June 1 or Nov. 1 each year. The application and supporting materials must be sent to the mailing address provided.
