Applicants must plan to sit for the CPA exam within three years of application date and demonstrate a course of study that reflects this goal. Applicants must also demonstrate financial need or other special circumstances. If a student receives a full-tuition waiver or reimbursement for tuition, he/she is not eligible for this scholarship. However, the society recognizes that students will likely not know about scholarships and other forms of support at the time of application, and it highly encourages students who anticipate need for financial support to apply.
