Number of Awards & Eligibility: Up to four awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be officially enrolled in an accredited college or university as an undergraduate student at the time of application and award.
  3. Must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
  4. Must be enrolled in a program leading to a career in the airline industry. Applicants will be considered from other programs/majors, if the applicant's goal of a career in airline management can be demonstrated through work experience or the personal essay.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for currently enrolled undergraduate students who plan to pursue a career in the airline industry. Students must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.

Additional Information: The following criteria are used for the ranking of applicants: demonstrated scholastic achievement; demonstrated work experience, extracurricular activities, or community activities; strength of faculty recommendation; and strength of essay. Scholarships will be awarded without regard to gender, race, religion, or national origin. Scholarship awards will be announced no later than July 14. Winners will be asked for a headshot and short bio to be featured in "Regional Horizons".

Award Amount: $4,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $4,000.

Applications are available online on the Regional Airline Association (RAA) website. Each student must upload the following documents to the online application: a transcript reflecting grades through the previous academic year at high school, college, or university (may be from spring or summer); a resume outlining his/her work experience, extracurricular, and/or community activities; a 350-word career essay describing his/her interests in the airline industry; and a letter of recommendation from a faculty member. All applications must be completed online via the RAA website. No hard copies or mail delivery applications will be accepted. Applications must be submitted by midnight EST on the deadline date.
