First Presbyterian Church
The award amount varies each year based on funds available. Students must reapply each year. Students are expected to maintain a grade point average of 2.0 or higher and are responsible for having their college or university submit an official copy of their transcript to the business office of the First Presbyterian Church each semester.
Generally, 4 to 5 awards are offered annually.
This fund was formed in 1972 from the estate of Miss Jimmie Ullery, a First Presbyterian Church member. Interest from the original corpus of the trust is used to assist eligible students. Preference will be given in the following order: members of the First Presbyterian Church of Tulsa; members of a church in the Presbytery of Eastern Oklahoma; members of a church in the Synod of the Sun; members of the Presbyterian Church at large. The scholarship committee will base its awards upon the following criteria: specific scholarship requirements; church or religious involvement; and academic performance and potential. Scholarship payments for successful applicants will be paid by the scholarship foundations to the financial office only of the applicant's academic institution. These payments will be in equal semester installments.
