Number of Awards & Eligibility: One scholarship will be provided each year the program is available.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must reside in Hampden, Hampshire or Franklin Counties.
  2. Must be a graduating high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student.

Description: The Diana and Leon Feffer Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to residents of Hampden, Hampshire or Franklin Counties in Western Massachusetts. Applicants must demonstrate high academic achievement and unmet financial need.

Additional Information: The Diana and Leon Feffer Scholarship Fund provides annual scholarships through a partnership with the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts. Scholarships are awarded to residents of Hampden, Hampshire or Franklin Counties who demonstrate a combination of academic achievement and unmet financial need. Students who apply for one scholarship program through the community foundation will automatically be considered for all awards they are eligible for. Multiple applications are not required.

Award Amount: The average award amount is approximately $1,000. Scholarships provided through this program are awarded on a one-time basis and are non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications for the Diana and Leon Feffer Scholarship Fund are available and accepted between January 1 and March 31. To apply for this scholarship, students must complete the online application at the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts website. Completed application forms will also require students to submit a recent copy of transcripts as well as their current year Student Aid Report. The Student Aid report is obtained when the student completes the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). All applications must be submitted online no later than the deadline date.
