In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a resident of one of the following states: Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, or Washington, D.C.
  2. Must be a graduate or undergraduate student.
  3. Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Description: This scholarship is for business-minded college and university students who are residents of the following states: Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, or Washington, D.C. All majors are welcome to apply. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Application requirements for the Verizon’s Young Entrepreneur Scholarship are:

  • Essay
  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
Additional Information: Applicants must submit the following to be considered for the scholarship: -A completed application form (see below). -Either a 300–400 word essay or a 2–3 minute video answering one of the questions listed on the application page. -A current high school or university transcript (an unofficial transcript is acceptable). The scholarship recipient will be notified by June 30, 2020. The $1,000 scholarship must be applied toward educational expenses, including: -Graduate or undergraduate tuition -Books and other class-related fees -On-campus room and board for the 2020 academic year The award will be made payable to the recipient’s educational institution. Applicants are required to submit any receipts to remain in compliance with the IRS.

Award Amount: One $1,000 scholarship offered.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
