Number of Awards & Eligibility: A winner is selected in each category. The contest is divided into two age groups: elementary, middle or high school students, post-secondary, college and graduate students.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must submit a short video on current issues in American transportation.
  3. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  4. Must be enrolled in elementary, middle, high school, or as an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited college/university.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for U.S. students who submit a two to four minute video on current issues in American transportation.

Application requirements for the ARTBA Student Transportation Video Contest are:

Additional Information: The American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) sponsors this award annually as a way to hear what American students truly think about the various debates concerning America's transportation needs and priorities. Students in elementary, middle, and high school may apply to category one, while college and university students may apply for category two consideration.

Award Amount: 1st prize in each category will receive $500, and the 2nd prize in each category will be awarded a $250 cash prize.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,500.

Information about this award is available online at the American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) website using the link provided. To be considered for this award, students must first download, print, complete, and sign a copy of the waiver and release form, as well as a copy of the photo release form for everyone who appears in the video. Applciants must also arrange for a letter verifying enrollment, written on official school letterhead by a school staff or faculty member. Verification letters and release forms must be mailed to Kashae Williams using the address provided. The primary component of the scholarship application is the mandatory video submission. Videos should be two to four minutes in length, and must be produced in response to the transportation industry topics listed at the ARTBA website. Videos must also mention ARTBA, as well as giving proper credits to all involved in its creation. The credits do not count toward the video's four-minute time limit. Videos containing obscene content, unauthorized copyrighted material, or any other violations of Youtube's community guidelines will not be eligible for consideration. All videos must be uploaded to Youtube, and submitted to ARTBA using the online submission form available at the ARTBA website. All materials must be postmarked and/or submitted online by the deadline date.
