Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards varies quarterly, depending on the number of qualified applicants.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a current high school student at the time of application.
  2. Must be 13 years of age or older at the time of application.
  3. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  4. This award is for U.S. students.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship contest is available for U.S. high school students, aged 13 and over, with GPA of at least 2.5. Applicants must be prepared to submit a service story in writing or video.

Application requirements for the Humanity Rising Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Service project
Additional Information: On a quarterly basis, Humanity Rising awards Service Scholarships and other rewards to students who are making a difference in the world through volunteerism or creating their own service project. There are no minimum hours required and no specific activity that is more or less compelling in the eyes of our judges. We’re looking for service that was impactful and meaningful to you and those who benefitted from your volunteerism or innovative service project. A good rule of thumb is at least ten (10) hours of overall engagement.

Award Amount: $500 to $2,000 awards offered.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $4,000.

Humanity Rising will then provide students with information related to one or more service challenges that are operated on a regular, often continuing, basis. Applications are accepted throughout the year, and reviews of current entries will be conducted regularly.
