Number of Awards & Eligibility: One or two awards offered.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be graduating from Washburn School, Grainger County High School or Hancock County High School.
  2. Must be working toward certification as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  3. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  4. This award is for U.S. students.
  5. Must be a high school senior at the time of application.
  6. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for high school seniors who are graduating from Washburn School, Grainger County High School or Hancock County High School. Applicants must demonstrate financial need, academic achievement, and plans to pursue a certification as a Registered Nurse (RN).

Additional Information: This scholarship fund was established to assist graduates of Washburn School, Grainger County High School, and Hancock County High School who are pursuing programs of study leading to certification as a Registered Nurse (RN).

Award Amount: One $3,500 one-time award for one year OR two $1,750 one-time awards for one year.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $3,500.

Applications are available on the East Tennessee Foundation website. Prior to starting the application, students must obtain a copy of the East Tennessee Foundation scholarship guide and application instructions. The guide can be obtained online from the East Tennessee Foundation website. Students must review this guide in order to determine if additional supplementary materials may be required to apply for this award, and how those materials should be prepared. Applications must be completed online no later than the deadline date.
