In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.
  2. Must reside in the United States.
  3. Must be a high school senior, undergraduate or graduate student.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: Attorneys at Doran & Murphy understand the devastating impact cancer has on individuals. Therefore this scholarship was created to honor those who have been impacted by this illness, whether it was the applicant whom was diagnosed, or a close friend or family member of the applicant's. The scholarship is open to any current high school senior, college student or graduate student who is a legal resident of the United States residing in one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia and who is enrolled in a two to five-year post-secondary institution for the upcoming semester. Candidates for this scholarship should have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher and be in good overall academic standing.

Application requirements for the Canceling Cancer Scholarship are:

  • Essay
  • Official Transcript
Additional Information: The candidate must submit a 750- 1,000 word essay response to the prompt: Discuss the impact that a cancer diagnosis for you or a loved one had on you. The candidate must submit a professional resumé that lists their experience, both professional and academic. The candidate must submit a transcript (unofficial or official) from their current school. First-year college students, graduate students, or individuals who have recently transferred schools may submit a transcript from their current school, as well as the most recent transcript from their prior school. High school students must also submit proof of acceptance to their college or university. Scholarship applications should be sent with the subject line “Firstinitial.lastname – 2020 Canceling Cancer Scholarship Application”

Award Amount: $1,000 award offered.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
