Description: The deRubertis Family Scholarship is available for graduating high school seniors at Cashmere High School. Applicants must have a grade point average of between 3.0 and 3.5, and must plan to pursue a bachelor's degree upon graduation.

Additional Information: The Cashmere High School is provided annually to assist graduating seniors at Cashmere High School who are planning to pursue a bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university in the United States. Applicants must have a grade point average of between 3.0 and 3.5 and must demonstrate unmet financial need. The award is administered by the Community Foundation of North Central Washington, a charitable organization dedicated to helping those in need within Chelan, Douglas and Okanogan counties of Washington. Selection of scholarship recipients will be based on a combination of academic merit, recommendation letters, and the student's unmet financial need. Recipients will be notified in early May and will be required to provide additional documentation such as a signed scholarship agreement and verification of enrollment.

The deRubertis Family Scholarship has closed for 2019 but is expected to be offered again in 2020. Please check back in January of 2020 when applications will become available. Applications for the deRubertis Family Scholarship must be completed online at the Community Foundation of North Central Washington website. To apply, students must first create an online account with the community foundation's application portal and complete the eligibility quiz. Students will then be able to access the individual applications for any scholarships they are eligible through the foundation. Applicants are encouraged to gather the following materials prior to beginning the application: their expected family contribution (EFC) from their Student Aid Report (SAR); transcripts from their current educational institution; email addresses for two individuals who will provide a recommendation for the applicant; and a list of activities, awards, and honors the student has received. The Student Aid Report is obtained by filing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the student's current-year FAFSA must be completed at the time of application. Students may apply to multiple scholarships they are eligible through the foundation application portal by clicking on "copy answers." Students are also advised to pay close attention to any specific short answers, essays, or other supplemental materials required for each specific scholarship's application. All submissions must be completed online by the deadline date. Any late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
