Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a high school senior.
  2. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  3. Must reside in Pinellas County, Florida.
  4. Must be active in cheerleading.
  5. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  6. This award is for U.S. students.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for high school seniors in Pinellas County, Florida who are active in cheerleading. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Application requirements for the Deviny Boese Memorial Scholarship are:

  • FAFSA by 01/19/2019
Additional Information: Top candidates will be invited to conduct an interview with the selection commitee, and applicants selected to receive a scholarship will also be required to attend a Deviny Boese Foundation July event, at which time the awards will be presented.

Award Amount: $2,500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,500.

Applications and information about this award are available online at the Pinellas Education Foundation website using the link provided. To be considered for this award, students must complete an online application form consisting of 12 steps. Completed applications will include information about the following items: the student's academic record; participation in community, service, and extracurricular activities; financial need as detailed in the Student Aid Report obtained by filing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA); information about subjects the student is interested in through a list of prospective majors; as well as the names of any colleges or universities the student has applied to or been accepted to. The Student Aid Report (SAR) is obtained by filing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The FAFSA is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov, at high school guidance offices, and at college financial aid offices. Students interested in applying for the Deviny Boese Memorial Scholarship must also submit an essay of 500 to 750 words entitled "How I make a positive impact/influence on others around me." Essays must be submitted through the online form. All online applications must be completed by the deadline date.
