Additional Information: In honor of the late Elaine Chapin, the Elaine Chapin Memorial Scholarship Fund was established to provide funds to support the postsecondary education of students impacted by multiple sclerosis either directly or as a family member. Scholarship recipients are chosen on the basis of financial need, academic standing and the impact with which multiple sclerosis has affected their lives. There is no application fee to apply for the scholarship; however, a gesture of a small donation with the submitted completed application is appreciated. Whether or not a donation is made will have no bearing on determining which students receive the scholarship awards. Checks should be made out to "Elaine Chapin Fund/NMSS." The scholarship is being run through the Gateway Area Chapter (St. Louis) of the National MS Society, and all donations are 100 percent tax deductible.
