Number of Awards & Eligibility: One scholarship will be provided annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a resident of Ventura County, California.
  2. Must attend Ventura College or CSU-Channel Islands or must be transferring from one of those schools to a four-year college or university.
  3. Must be majoring in a medical field.
  4. Must be an undergraduate student at the time of application.
  5. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Additional Information: The Eleanor Tillquist Scholarship Fund is provided annually to students who are attending Ventura College or CSU-Channel Islands or transferring from those schools to a four-year university. Applicants must be majoring in a medical field, must have a history of community service, and must demonstrate high levels of academic achievement. Additional consideration during award selection will be given to female applicants.

Applications for and additional details about the Eleanor Tillquist Scholarship Fund are available online at the Ventura County Community Foundation website. To apply for this scholarship, students must complete all sections of the online application form. Applicants must also submit an original essay in response to the award's topic, as well as two letters of recommendation. At least one letter of recommendation must be submitted by a current faculty member at the school the student is attending. All applications and supporting documents must be received by the deadline date.
