Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award available.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. The scholarship is open to all current high school students, vocational students, college students, or graduate students residing in a state or the District of Columbia that is a legal resident of the United States and enrolled in a two to five-year post-secondary institution.
  2. Students applying for this scholarship must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and be in good academic standing.

Description: Our team at Sussman Law Firm believes in empowering immigrants and first-generation individuals across the United States. Immigration is an essential and vital aspect of the US, and we want to help first-generation students work toward their educational and professional dreams.We are excited to bring back the Empowering Immigrants Scholarship for another year! We aim to do just that by giving back to a student who immigrated to the US or is a first-generation college student. In 750-1000 words, please share your or your family’s immigration story, what struggles you overcame, and what educational goals you hope to accomplish.

Application requirements for the Empowering Immigrants Scholarship are:

Additional Information: *This competition is not open to Sussman Law Firm employees, their immediate families (parents, children, siblings, and spouses), and persons living in the same households as such employees.

Award Amount: Chosen applicant will receive $1,000.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
