In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a high school senior at the time of application.
  2. This award is for U.S. students.
  3. Must attend a high school in Pinellas County, Florida.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  5. Must have a family member who is a Korean War Veteran.

Description: This scholarship is available for high school seniors in Pinellas County, Florida who have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Applicants must have a minimum of 25 community service hours. Applicants must have a family member who was a veteran in the Korean War.

Additional Information: This scholarship is provided by the Korean War Veterans Suncoast Chapter 14. Each year, it is awarded to a local area high school senior who has a family member who is a Korean War veteran. Applicants should demonstrate a record of achievement and potential for future growth. Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
