In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a high school senior at the time of application.
  2. This award is for U.S. students.
  3. Must attend a high school in Pinellas County, Florida.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  5. Must have a family member who is a Korean War Veteran.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for high school seniors in Pinellas County, Florida who have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Applicants must have a minimum of 25 community service hours. Applicants must have a family member who was a veteran in the Korean War.

Additional Information: This scholarship is provided by the Korean War Veterans Suncoast Chapter 14. Each year, it is awarded to a local area high school senior who has a family member who is a Korean War veteran. Applicants should demonstrate a record of achievement and potential for future growth. All submissions will be reviewed for the quality and content of essays, as well as the applicant's academic record and unmet financial need.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
