  1. Must be a college junior or senior.
  2. Must be majoring in physics.
  3. Must attend Abilene Christian University.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Description: The Richard Gaines Russell Memorial Physics Scholarship is available for current juniors and seniors at Abilene Christian University who are majoring in physics. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Additional Information: The Richard Gaines Russell Memorial Physics Scholarship is funded by Dr. Hulse and Carol Wagner and administered annually through the Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation. To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must be current high college juniors or seniors. Students must be majoring in physics at Abilene Christian University.

Award Amount: Scholarships are provided in the amount of $3,500. All awards are one-time and non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $3,500.

The Richard Gaines Russell Memorial Physics Scholarship has closed for 2019 but the deadline is expected to remain the same in 2020. Please check back in January when applications are scheduled to become available. Applications, instructions, and complete details about the Richard Gaines Russell Memorial Physics Scholarship are available online at the Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation website. To be considered for a scholarship through the Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation, students must first complete the online general application form.
