Number of Awards & Eligibility: Eight awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must major in a health-related field.
  3. Must be a resident of Hawaii.
  4. Must attend or plan to attend an accredited two- or four-year college or university as a full-time student (12 credits per semester).
  5. Must demonstrate academic achievement with a grade point average of 2.7 or higher.
  6. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  7. Must be a high school senior or older to apply for this undergraduate award.

Description: This scholarship is available for Hawaii undergraduate students who are majoring in a health-related field. Students must have a grade point average of 2.7 or higher.

Additional Information: The Robanna Fund was created in 1992 by Robert and Deanna Levy to provide financial assistance to students in the medical field so that they may pursue careers in the health care profession. Preference is given to students renewing their scholarship. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and good moral character. Recipients will be notified after the scholarship selection committees meet, which could be any time between May and August.

Award Amount: Approximately $1,000 annually, non-renewable. Students may reapply each year.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $8,000.

Online application forms are available on the Hawai'i Community Foundation website. The student should visit the provider's website for detailed instructions on how to complete the online application. In addition to the online application form, the student must submit the following supporting materials: the printed confirmation page that is generated after applying online; a typed, double-spaced personal statement of two to three pages answering the questions listed online; an official copy of his/her most recent transcript; and a copy of his/her SAR (Student Aid Report). The SAR is obtained by filing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The FAFSA is available online, at high school guidance offices, and at college financial aid offices. The application must be submitted by 4 p.m. HST on the deadline date. Note: Students WILL NOT be able to submit their application until all required supporting documents are electronically attached to the application.
