Sodowsky Law Firm Scholarship

Number of Awards & Eligibility: One scholarship will be awarded each year.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  2. Must be graduating from high school or currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program.
  3. Must be planning to pursue a career in law.

Description: The Sodowsky Law Firm Scholarship is available for U.S. citizens who are planning to pursue a career in law. Applicants must be currently graduating high school seniors or enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program.

Application requirements for the Sodowsky Law Firm Scholarship are:

  • Video submission
Additional Information: The Sodowsky Law Firm Scholarship is provided annually for students who wish to pursue a career in law. One winner will be selected and notified in late August or early September. Students who are offered a scholarship will have their details including name, school, photograph, video and scholarship awarded passed on to media and used by Sodowsky Law and / or partner organisations for promotional purposes. Promotion may include but is not limited to Sodowsky Law’s website, social media channels, print and electronic media. Students who do not wish to have their information made public in this way must notify the contest sponsor in writing.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Additional information about and application instructions for the Sodowsky Law Firm Scholarship are available at the provided links. To apply for this scholarship, students must create an original video of up to three minutes in length that responds to the topic of the current year's contest. The applicant must appear at least once in the video and any voice overs must be the voice of the applicant. Videos must be uploaded to Youtube publicly with the following title format: "Sodowsky Law Firm Scholarship | applicant’s full name." The description must also include a link to the Sodowsky Law scholarship page. Finally, all videos must be shared to the student's Facebook page as well as Sodowsky Law's Facebook page. All submissions must be completed and received no later than the deadline date.
